This morning more than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially, the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way. the funny part is that the signed document does not specify a single payment method, so Samsung is entitled to send the creators of the iPhone their billion dollars in the way they deem best. This dirty but genius geek troll play is a new headache to Apple executives as t…

Does anyone recommend any of these home kits? The dentist charging about £300 is just daylight robbery when the kits are only £10ish I've heard that as long as you get decent home kits, the results are the same. Can anyone recommend a brand? Cheers

A few months back we found a load of video tapes that my recently-deceased uncle had used to record TV programmes going back years. We've been browsing through them and found some real gems. He was obviously a fan of the original 'The Bill' shows. A couple of nights back I found a recording of a light entertainment show (probably early 80's) fronted by a very young Danny Baker. In typically bizarre fashion he was out on the streets trying to find out the impact on men of wearing pink socks!! (Yes, weird, I know!). He approached two young uniformed police officers and asked if they'd be willing to swop their socks for pink ones! One said that unfortunately they had to we…

In a nutshell... A friend of mine, who lives in another part of the UK, purchased some audio equipment from me. Not run of the mill stuff, included some car navigation items too. Total value, around £300, however, to him the cost was £200. I packaged them all up, in lots of bubble wrap, and all in a big box. The courier were due to collect on a certain day - and didn't. They were then due to collect on another day - and didn't. I chased them - and they finally colleteced On Saturday afternoon, my mate came home, to find a card through his door. It said they had left the item around the back, and had not obtained a signature for it. He went around the back, to find th…

Received this in an email. Possibly fake or not? Recently, SAPOL (South Australian police) ran an e-mail forum (a question and answer exchange) with the topic being "Community Policing." One of the civilian email participants posed the following question; "I would like to know how it is possible for police officers to continually harass people and get away with it?" From the "other side" (the law enforcement side) Sgt. Kym Webb of Mount Barker police, (a cop with a sense of humor) replied: "First of all, let me tell you this...it's not easy. In the Adelaide Hills we average one cop for every 600 people. Only about 60% of those cops are on general duty (or what you m…

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/9585240/Making-prisoners-use-bucket-as-toilet-is-not-degrading-rules-judge.html Well done Judges, I have no time for these prisoners trying to claim damages for having to use a bucket. If they had behaved they wouldn't be in there in the first place.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2210164/Hubris-man-thinks-judged-God.html God forbid that this vain, hubristic, self-obssessed, ''I am only second to God'' person ever gets back into politics. I think Lord Owen has described him perfectly, Blair, a man who thinks he is Gods Gift to the world.

If you've ever wondered what it's like to be staring down the... er... barrel(?) of a taser, then here is a perfect 1st person encounter. 0:00 - 3:00 = Freeman / Sovereign / Numpty blabbing on about some "rights" or something. 3:00 - 3:24 = Tasering. I'm gonna be honest... I laughed Good old 'merica!

Nice they've featured the SlowMoGuys, but note that the Daily Maul have renames them The Slow Mo Team. Why? Why can't they get basic things right? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2211822/Slow-Mo-team-destructive-power-Molotov-Cocktail-camera-staggering-2-500-frames-second.html

The rules are simple... Post a picture and a link to the amazon page (or similar listing, including all tracks). Of TWO albums from 80s, 90s and 00s, or current decade. 1) The one you believe to be the best by any artist. 2) and the best compilation album Even if you don't agree they're the best, if you like a suggestion, make sure you hit like on it. Discuss... Allow me to begin. My two come from more recent times of the 3 decades. The Foo Fighters - Wasting Light An amazing album with some powerful songs on it. The Annual 2005 Surely one of the best compilation albums comes to us from the 2000s.

I'm way behind it seems as the first trailer was released in July, but I've only just seen it and by total accident Anybody going to buy this? The Total War series is awesome, but I still think the first Rome Total War is the best, and was what really set the standard for strategy games, and the whole series. It also seems that this time theres a lot more focus on all that lovely politics which made up Ancient Rome too. Are we all ready for the betrayals and assassinations? Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Like the website says, how far will you go for Rome? This gameplay trailer was released a few days ago Announcement Trailer Sorr…
