The son of a friend of mine, a university student struggling to keep himself during his studies, has advertised his services as a "ghostbuster" who can get rid of "presences" in people's homes and other premises. He readily admits he does not believe such things exists, but this is what he does. Anyone who sees his advert and thinks they have some kind of supernatural presence in their home can call him and he will come out for a set callout fee - roughly the equivalent of £30 - and he tells them he will charge a further £70 if he has to perform any "rites" or exorcism. Once he arrives at the house, and his picked up his fee, he checks every room - spending a couple of …

Hi Guys, Me and SO!ME are organising a meet up for PS.com members. Oh what's that? You tell me it's been tried before? Yeah I know everything, David has told me all about it We both agreed that it's because the locations and timings and dates are just not good enough or strict enough! It's all "come whenever you want" or something along the lines of that... Well this is going to be pretty strict. I tell you now though, I don't want you guys telling me this is going to fail, negative thoughts will most likely have a negative result! This thread, however, is not planning the actual meet up, I just wanted to let you guys know something will be happening during the summe…

Or should that be Americanization? Biscuits becoming cookies (even so-called 'cookies' aside), the creeping usage of 'licence plates' (and even the spelling going to (licen-se'). Why? And why the massive change to American spellings?

For those interested, "Police 24/7", a new BBC documentary following South Wales Police, starts on the 16th Jan on BBC One Wales. As it's airing on that channel I figured it may not have been advertised much in the rest of the UK, so I thought I'd post about it here in case anyone's interested. Most freeview/sky/whatever boxes will pick up BBC One Wales, otherwise it'll be on iplayer. Link to a short synopsis of the programme here: http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/south-wales-news/pontypridd-llantrisant/2013/01/10/bbc-show-police-24-7-follows-south-wales-police-91466-32567691/

Hello all. I'm fairly new to this forum. I'm currently mid process in west yorkshires most recent specials campaign. I am awaiting word on medical and am hopeful to be in training within the next few months My question is this. Does our police forces have anything in the way of rugby teams? It seams like the sort of organisation that would benefit in moral and team work with sports teams playing annual inter league competitions South v north yorks, Humber V Met etc etc. Would love to play part of such a team of they indeed exist. Thanks. Simon.

A man has been hauled to court - after allegedly becoming 'threatening and abusive' when told not to feed sausage rolls to police horses. Francis Kelly is accused of giving the pastries to the animals that led to him being arrested. Prosecutors allege he behaved in a 'threatening or abusive manner' after attempting to feed the horses the meaty treats. The 41-year-old will now stand trial next year. The incident is said to have taken place in Pollokshaws Road, in Glasgow, on September 26 this year. The breach of the peace accusation claims Kelly 'adopted an aggressive stance' towards the officers in charge of the horses when told to put the saus…

This is actually quite a cool video I found on YouTube! I don't know whether it is true, but from what the description says apparently "a maximum security prison, were treated to a visit by Michael Jackson's long-time choreographer Travis Payne and dancers Daniel Celebre and Dres" What do you think? I though this was pretty nifty! Some may disagree to this and it'll probably get a few comments such as "they don't deserve it" The only criticism I might have is the choice of the song  not mentioning the fact that the actual music video is based in a prison where they are sort of protesting against the Police and government... but to be fair, that's really nit-pickin…
