The Locker Room

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-21923218 I saw this in the top ten most read sidebar. I found myself looking at the date, sadly it is not yet April 1st... It does seem more than a little mad to do this. The logic escapes me, by cutting them into Squares or Rectangles then surely we just add one more 'pointy' bit. Wont someone think of the children?!?

now this one snuck right by me but The Lock Up series 2 was on at 23:35 on Monday night http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01mhgrf/The_Lock_Up_Series_2_Porteus/

Dear Friends, I hope you are all well and have enjoyed a 2 week rest from my observations on life in the MPS. Being the Borough Commander of Merton is in my opinion already the greatest job within the greatest police service in the world and last week I got to carry out my favourite part of my role - our annual Commendation Ceremony. This is where we celebrate, recognise and reward outstanding achievements by Police Officers, volunteers and members of the public across our communities. This years Ceremony was held at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon and the awards I gave out were truly outstanding. Acts of bravery by members of the public, brilliant work b…

Brother's tribute to police officer Adele Cashman who died in chase and 'loved putting criminals away' The brother of a female police officer who collapsed and died chasing phone thieves today paid an emotional tribute to her sister who he said "loved putting criminals away". Speaking for the first time since Detective Constable Adele Cashman died four months ago, her brother Adam said the pain of her death “would never go away”. But the 29-year-old - whose sister had been on course to join the Met’s gun crime Trident unit - said his family have been consoled by a deluge of messages including a letter from London Mayor Boris Johnson. And he revealed he and some of …

I've just read an article in the Telegraph about how some Scot (Nicola Sturgeon) is moaning that Cameron is 'interfering' in the democratic right of Scots to determine their own future. Which is sodding rich seeing as Scots ministers have been 'interfering' in the future of the English for bloody years and not seen too much of an issue with it. I think he's playing a dangerous game for the purposes of his own egotism and 'power'. I think he may be a bit racist towards the English - you know, with making English students pay for education that no other European citizen has to pay for, and all. Still. The Scots voted them in, and they knew what they were about.........…

Giraffe's got an 'Olympic Medal' has anyone else seen it? It's very colourful. Well done to all those who supported the nation's olympic event.

On Friday I had the opportunity of going out on patrol with GMP around the Radcliffe area. I was to report to Whitefield police station at 12.00pm. Upon arrival I was introduced to Inspector Mark Kenny & had a chat with him about what was to happen today. I then meet PC Derek Lee , who would be taking me out on patrol. After a interview with the camera crew .Who really do put you at ease. We were off out on the road. First stop was Radcliffe police station to meet the PCSO's who patrol Radcliffe . I am having a few problems in my life right and one of the nice officers who came round to make sure I was ok had this on his uniform. He would not say what it was for but allowed me to take a picture and find out. Any ideas people? I am in Scotland BTW

For those not in the know, a Bucket list is a list of things you want to do before you die (bucket list as in kick the bucket taken from the film of the same name). Do you have a bucket list? Whats on it? A bucket list should only really contain things that are within your power to achieve so winning the Jackpot on the lotto or setting foot on the moon shouldn't really be there. So far mine are: To visit Japan To travel throughout Australasia To visit Russia To lead a dog sled team. What do you want to do before you kick the bucket?

I don't know if it's because it's 4:32am and I should be in bed but I found these images very moving indeed. http://blogs.reuters.com/fullfocus/2013/03/19/photographers-notebook-iraq-war/#a=1
