I have been fascinated with this story all day (I love science me ) It started with someone with a Jaguar car who parked it in range of the 'solar death beam' (Yes, that's a headline relating to this from many news articles) and came back to find that his plastic Jaguar XJ had melted. The issue is apparently 20 Fenchurch Street which whilst still only partially constructed is of a glass concave design and faces South. The sun hits it and the light is focused into a beam hot enough to melt a car made of plastic (I am sure Jaguar used to make cars out of metal in the olden days?) So, the building has (allegedly) melted several cars and even set fire to a shop owners we…

Seems a new series of Traffic Cops starts tonight on BBC1 at 2100. "Documentary series following the traffic police as they enforce the law on some of Britain's busiest and most dangerous roads. The Traffic Cops in South Wales are involved in a series of late night car chases, crashes and fatal accidents. They are dealing with a new breed of car criminal - creeper crooks - who ply their trade by sneaking around in the dead of night breaking into houses to steal keys and cars."

I have been very lucky in my working life to have had bosses who have been very understanding, friendly and who have mutual respect. I was however once very unlucky to encounter a complete orgre of an individual who had nothing but contempt for subordinates and as a result we parted company. What are your experiences? Be careful not to trip up with this one!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2402354/Peace-envoy-Tony-Blair-yacht-Mediterranean-West-debates-air-strikes-Syria.html - The Fork-tongued, Slimeball, odious Blair, more concerned with having a good time with his rich friends, than carrying out his job of Middle East Peace Envoy. He isn't making much of a job, nobody has seen him in Syria trying to sort out their problems, Blair is a complete waste of space, only interested in jollies, and making money. I put him in the same class as Mugabe, Assad and a few other despots. Whats the matter with Cherie, she usually attends anything going that doesn't involve spending any of her money, the Queen of Freebies…

Ok folks, what are your predictions for this years Slam? - Andy to retain the trophy? - Nadal to complete his 'comeback'? - The Joker to turn everyone he plays into melted butter? - Fed to silence talks of being past it? - Or, a brand new champion????? ****************************************** Personally I'm an Andy fan so I'm really hopeful that he will make this his 3rd Slam. However I do like the idea of a new champion being crowned. The 'romantic' in me would love to see Baqhdatis or Hewitt win. Worth a cheeky wee tenner at Ladbrokes??? What's your thoughts????

What is your most hated repeated movie? I am sick to death of seeing the 'Bourne supremacy/identity/legacy' these flicks seem to be on nearly every weekend or at least one of them. Come on they were good twice but enough is enough! :new_doh2:
