Appologies in advance if this is in the wrong area. I am about to commence my training at Tulliallan in Scotland for Police Scotland. I know that as a new recruit I must complete a 2 year probation period, which will involve tests throughout the 2 years. After completing my 2 year probation, what qualification (if any) do I recieve? I have asked about and been told different stories, varying from "I dunno", "its equivalent to a Scottish higher" and "its equivalent to a HNC course". Can anyone help clarify this? Basically I would like some advice here please. My fiancé and I have split up and although I have most of my belongings uplifted from her house, there are a few more things I still need to pick up. I have tried to contact her to ask when I can collect these but she has ignored all of my phone calls/texts. However, just yesterday I managed to get through to her and she says she will not allow me to collect my things because apparently I owe her money (which I do not) and will not let me get them until she has the money. What I want to know is what can I do from a legal point of view to recover my property from her house? Thanks

Currently there are talks for Specials to be involved in CID and to gain accreditation in PIP and gain the title S/DC Not a huge amount of information available unfortunately. Thoughts? Anyone know a Special who has PIP Level 2?

I'm currently as serving SC, but had been requested to have another hearing test done, since I've taken on new hearing aids. Prior to joining the job, I was tested the standard way and an extended field test was done also. I passed the extended field test with no concerns. I was having an interesting conversation with my Dad in regards to special constables being issued tasers. I thought I would share it with you to see the opinions of others. So of course a taser is a form (all be it extreme) of PPE (personal protective equipment) deployed in situations where all other resolution has failed and threat is imminent. It is widely recognised that special constables have the same powers and responsibilities as there regular counterparts and so would be faced with the same hazards and challenges. As per the photo - link above to SC Chief Officer's twitter - the SC crown features as well. The SC crown only features on rank eppaulettes and won't be on SC eppaulettes for "integration" reasons. When the fast food employee turns his back and walks away from the till the woman leans over the counter, takes a burger and leaves the restaurant. Is this a 9.1a or b offence?

IT security and security in general is an interest of mine. One of the things I always found flawed is the use of warrant cards. For them to be useful to authenticate the identity of the bearer, they need to be of a known format and hard to replicate. Everyone knows what a driving licence looks like, so if it looked substantially different, even if it's not dismissed out of hand, the person doing the authentication is much more likely to take extra steps to verify. Hi all, I've recently attested as a special and will be based at a busy central city station. My tutor phase is with a regular PC, and due to the times I can volunteer being Friday nights and the weekend, I believe I will mainly be on 'NTE' type shifts. I have been told these will probably be 20:00-04:00 for me. Basically, what should I expect? I've been a student myself so I'm well aware of the drinking culture we have in this country lets put it that way! Is it going to be all public order related? As a regular, I often have the pleasure of working with SC's and amongst the many things we discuss during a shift is 'how protected do you feel if you were subject to a complaint?' I've found that many don't give the position much thought, which strikes me as bonkers given the ever increasing scrutiny and our increasing reliance on Special Constables.
