Teflon Phoney Tony Blair really has an inflated opinion of his own importance. The Government are going to purchase a Beoing 747-400, at £200 million pounds, for President Blair and his cronies to fly around the world, plus a Helicopter at £3.4 million. That does not include running costs and spares. A 747 burns 3000 gallons per hour, plus crew salaries. Captain £80,000, First Officer £60,000, Stewards x 5 at £20,000 each, at least two crews would be needed. It would be a hundred times cheaper to hire a plane each time. I don't suppose Tone will worry, it's not his money, let the tax payers pay. Puts the purchase of 22 Jaguars in the shade, doesn't it.

If like me you're horrified with the changes made to midget gems and the new flavoured blackcurrent black midget gem, you can now protest. If you want to keep lions midget gems as they are please fill out the petition. Click Here. The originals are liquorice and should never be blackcurrent! There's a similar protest running on the the sister site of police oracle in the military forum.

Having read the Mail on Sunday regarding Ministers claiming excessive allowances for housing, it's easy to understand why the average member of the public does not trust politicians. It is difficult to understand the shear greed of the likes of Beckett, Prescot, Hoon, Falconer, Kelly and several others. It's 'heads in the trough lads and lasses', grab as much as you can while in office. There is some truth in the old saying, you can tell when a politician is lying, their lips move.

Folks, There is a new documentary being shown on BBC 1 about women in the police service. The first instalment of the unfortunately titled "Girl Cops" was shown last Monday. It was filmed during the middle of last year in an around the North Manchester division of GMP. I was working on that division at the time and was caught on camera on at least two occasions that I can recall. A free slap-up feast at Mrs Miggins Pie Shoppe goes to the first forum member that can correctly identify Mr Fingers in any of the coming episodes

This week at training we had our CS Spray exposure. While most of the people, including me, got the full effect of the nasty stuff one of my colleagues seemed to be immune and made it known to all. After the brief excursion out in the cold we headed back to the facilities to get washed up and changed. We then all discovered the fact that washing the stuff off is actually more painful than the actual initial effect, alot worse. So as for our "immune" friend....he decided that as he was freezing cold he would take a nice warm shower while we were all crying like babies in pain. He undressed and jumped in......you know whats coming right...... he washed the CS crystal…

Inflation is currently around the 2% mark. Council Tax is going up by around 4.5% Fuel bills are rising faster than Gary Glitter in a playground. So what do you think the annual pay rise will be this September? My guess is that it will be the same as it has always been - 3% Anyone else want to have a guess, then we can come back in six months and see who was right?

Some people who have been on here for a good few months may wish to re-visit their profile page and update their details. As an example, Bluearsedfly has put a link to the Met Police web site on his profile, but now he has transferred to BTP, perhaps this one would be more appropriate? http://www.train-spotting.com/ (Sorry BAF - couldn't resist it ) fivejays38809.5373148148

I know Metros are prone to breakdown, but surely membership of the AA would be a better alternative than this? Even a fold up bike would do the job. I wonder if our resident sheep farmer has ever tried anything similar? Officers find small pony in Mini Police patrol officers who stopped a Mini Metro believed to have been involved in a road accident found a Shetland pony on the back seat. Officers found the miniature pony after stopping the vehicle in the county during a routine patrol.
