Why, Since Charles Kennedy resigned as party leader, are there constant snipings at Ming Campbell about his age? Do people over 60 really have a 'deaths wish' hanging over them? Whats wrong with age and experience of life, instead of the usual claptrap of 'The Cult of Youth'? Why are there so many people 'drivellings' & 'yammering' away in the Lib Dems over Sir Mings age?? Charles Kennedy may be a talented bloke, but he lied and deceived the Lib Dems, and its supporters for quite a few years over his 'Leetle Drink Problem'. Whats more important --- honesty, integretity and continuity, or someone who had a real problem..."Deliberatley denying this" and trying to hide…

How come we have had no trouble with Moderators on this board for over two years. Suddenly Kevinh get to be a Moderator and starts cancelling posts left right and centre, plus threatening to remove me from the Oracle. I've had the final warning. Someone needs to come down out of their Ivory Tower. Well good bye everyone, its been nice knowing most of you, Penbwlch, Redrum, M&MBM, Goldtop, Catprincess, Weird Beard, best of luck to you all in the future. Free speech is now dead, don't mention any names on these boards or you will get banned. To Kevinh, you are becoming arrogant, I suggest you take a good long look at yourself, you have only been on…

This is rather disturbing. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6410909.stm It says that children commiting sex crimes is on the increase. It blames the internet partly, but not soley. I think we need to look at a society where a pole dancing game can be bought for a kiddy's Christmas present, and kiddies are wearing make-up, and have access to their older teenage sister's teeny-magazines. Or is it just that this is being reported more often now, or is more extreme?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/dailymail/home.html?in_page_id=1766 Click on the photo of the young Tony Blair & have fun reading the story. Ah! If ASBO's had been around then, just think what might have become of Mr Blair. Sorry about any Pop-ups (Oooo! Matron!)

Can somebody enlighten me as to the decision-making process to close a thread - is the decision reached by Police Oracle as an organisation or by an individual moderator or is it the decision of all moderators? I am not seeking to challenge any decision to remove threads but it would be helpful to know about the procedures. Thanks

News item on the BBC, two Kent Police Officer's, arrested three men who drove a JCB at a cash machine. During the arrests both officers sustained broken ankles, and one also a broken leg. I hope you recover quickly Gents, and it sounds like an excellent arrest under difficult circumstances. I hope the Crims get ten years at least. Knowing our Judges, conditional Discharge.

It was mentioned in the papers today, that they were considering having mobile phone removal, added as a deterrent to the points/fine. Do you think that would be feasible? I know from my company, that we have had an email sent round saying even hands free will be frowned on by them. Don't know if other companies are now doing this?jigsaw2007-03-01 18:26:51

Sorry folks this is nothing to do about the police, but thought it worth mentioning. 16 year old Josie Groves had terminal cancer, she died this morning at home. She had been through all the painful ops, chemo, etc etc, and had a really tough time. She decided that she had had enough and went home to her Mum, Dad and baby brother, and wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. She was always happy and smiling and always thought of others before herself. I watched her on the news at six tonight and suddenly thought, next time I am feeling sorry for myself because I have a cold, or something else, I will think of all the turmoil Josie went through. A brave lass …

Latest quote from that pompous arrogant clown, the Home Secretary, John Reid. His quote, ''I'm like Winston Churchill.'' I don't ever recollect Winston Churchill being a Communist, alcholic, drugs in one of his rooms type of person. I seem to remember he was pretty efficient at running the country, not like Reid, a failure in every department he has served in. Some people have a very inflated opinion of themselves Mr Reid.
