This is the headline of a news article in the Melbourne Age: Police are investigating a sexual assault in which a woman awoke to find a man touching her in her north Queensland unit. I swear I paid attention in anatomy class and I read Our Bodies Ourselves.

The Last Applause It is my sad duty to inform you all of the death of comedy legend, John Inman. MR HUMPHRIES: I've never boxed in my life. Now wrestling, now that's another matter. MRS SLOCOMBE: I wouldn't have thought you were the wrestling sort. MR HUMPHRIES: I was known as Hugger Humphries. He'll be sadly missed. But I bet God's been looking forward to meeting him.

There is a story on the BBC news site regarding some yobs, who for SEVEN hours threw snowballs at a couples windows, and were generally being abusive. The police were rung on numerous occasions, but the couple were told the police were too busy with diversity training. The disabled lady went outside and a snowball broke her spectacles, the husband who is in his seventies went out and slapped one yob around the head and told them to B off. Guess what, the police arrived within minutes and arrested the old man. Which force is it 'foot shooting' again. We seem to be getting our priorities wrong again.

I wanted to introduce myself to the PC's here. I am a Dallas Texas Police Officer with over 17 years in patrol. My mother is British and I have spent my childhood summers growing up in the UK(Brum). I have been a lurker here reading off and on for several months. I recently returned to the site since my cousin is in his training with Greater Manchester Police. To clear up some quick questions.... Never shot anyone. Been shot at 7 times. Attacked with a knife twice Tasered 3 Taser instructor The above is slightly sarcastic but true...for some reason everytime I go to the UK everyone wants to know how many people I've shot. Like most officers in the UK…

The High Court has ordered Dame Elizabeth Butler-Sloss to hold the Inquest into Diana, Princess of Wales, with a jury. Good for them. Butler-Sloss wanted to hold the inquest with no jury, obviously so she could come to a decision on her own, that would suit the establishment. This could have been another Hutton whitewash. This is the second defeat she has had, the previous was to hold the Inquest in secret, but this was also over-ruled. Makes one wonder if there was a gigantic cover- up over the deaths in the first place, or why the desire to be secretive and no jury. kevinh2007-03-02 19:07:17

Any other IPA members on here? I just received this month's magazine, and there is a 3-page artivle on holidays in Denmark, in particular at the Røde Mølle Politihus just outside Svendborg. We have been there lots of times (lots of German, Dutch and Norwegian police families go there, but hardly any Brits). We always tell people that Denmark is a terrible place to go for a holiday - with nasty people, very high prices and the weather is terrible. We're going again this August for the 12th year running and we don't want it spoiling by zillions of Brits going and turning it into another Torremolinos with fish and chip shops and British pubs and lager …

Looks like the Super Mosque poll running in the Evening Standard has been hi-jacked by the 'yes' contingent. If the vote is correct then 58% of Londoners are happy with the idea.
