Polly Curtis and Sarah Boseley Saturday March 3, 2007 The Guardian Unemployed junior doctors are fundraising to mount a legal challenge to the government's new Modernising Medical Careers system, which they say has unfairly denied some of the best-qualified young doctors interviews at NHS hospitals. All junior doctors have had to reapply for jobs as part of the system to modernise job applications. But a row broke out this week after hundreds were denied interviews despite being overqualified . Reports today of a major breach of security in the Junior Doctors Job Website [MTAS Medical Training Application Service]. This breach left personal data on view to any…

My Uncle used to tell me in all seriousness, that during WW2 when he was in the Army, Soldiers were only issued with 5 sheets of toilet paper, per Man, Per Day.... ...there was only one correct way to use them...."2 Up, 2 Down... and One to Polish!!" Needless to say, we can all 'Do Our Bit' for the Greening of Britian' by washing out the Toilet Paper after use, drying the sheets, ironing them and then returning them for the next user. The only problem is, you can only do this with the traditional hard shiny Bog Paper. The 'softer' variety just dont work...it falls to bits when I try to wash it..... Or... try the 'Habitat' variety....again you can recycle…

A week today, my wife and I are going to a fancy dress do . I decided I wasn't going to make a fool of myself and would be going in my ordinary clothes, but she told me she had accepted the invitation and that was that - fancy dress it was. The last time I went to a fancy dress party was when I was an 8-year-old and I remember going as Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I got into trouble for throwing a fishing knife at someone, but that's another story. My missus told me to go to the fancy dress hire shop, but they wanted £40 for most of their costumes and I wasn't going to pay that. So, this morning, I was doing some teaching at a college in Lincolnshire and afterw…

Harassment grievance Every day, a male co-worker walks up very close to a lady at the coffee machine, inhales a big breath of air, and tells her that her hair smells nice. After a week of this, she can't stand it anymore, takes her complaint to a Supervisor in the personnel department and asks to file a sexual harassment grievance against him. The Human Resources supervisor is puzzled, and asks: "What's sexually threatening about a co-worker telling you your hair smells nice?" The woman replies, "It's Keith. The midget."

Hi everybody! I'm currently doing a Music degree, and I'm working on my dissertation, and I've got this survey thing. I realise this is a bit much to ask as this is my first post and I'm not really a police officer or anything, but it would be SOOO SOOO helpful to me if a few of you could fill in this short survey for me. Pretty pretty please!!! You may wonder why I'm posting this on a police forum... well basically, I'm just trying to get some wide-ranging opinions, and it was the only thing I could think of to try searching for. It should be quite entertaining as you get to watch a music video at some point. So, if you're up for it, please email/PM/reply w…

A woman in Soham complained to the police that her child had hit a shuttlecock into the next door neighbours garden, and that that woman next door would not retun it, she said she couldn't find it. A police officer turned up and searched the garden, and started to search in the house, when the husband asked the officer to leave, which he did. The woman said that with all the crime and criminal damge being caused on the estate, she thought the police would have more important things to do. The officer has been ''spoken to'' regarding the incident and given words of advice. At least the couple have not made an offical complaint. I'm pretty sure the Cambridgeshire Poli…

Electric Company Conspiracy (long post) ..... borrowed from another Website... For years the electrical utility companies have led the public to believe they were in business to supply electricity to the consumer, a service for which they charge a substantial rate. The recent accidental acquisition of secret records from a nationally known power company has led to a massive research campaign which positively explodes several myths and exposes the massive hoax which has been perpetrated upon the public by the power companies. The most common hoax promoted the false concept that light bulbs emitted light; in actuality, these 'light' bulbs actually absorb DARK whic…
