That silly old duffer, Lord Phillips, is now complaining about prisoners being re-called because they have broken their release conditions. He says re-calling some one to prison just because they didn't turn up for a probation interview, is wrong. The prisoners know that if they break the rules they get re-called, and rightly so, whats the point of rules if they are allowed to break them. Lord Phillips is in the minority again.

Take 60 seconds to do this. it's funny 1. go to www.google.com 2. click on 'maps' (above the search box) 3. click on 'get directions' (under the search box) 4. type 'New York' in the first box (the 'from' box) 5. type 'London' in the second box (the 'to' box) and click 'get directions' 6. scroll down to step #24 Brilliant jigsaw2007-04-29 15:21:50

Here are a couple of new acronyms re Neighbourhood Policing which made me laugh. Neighbourhood Action Panels (NAP) which are made up of the NPT officers and Key Individuals in the Neighbourhood (KIN) Put them together and you get NAPKIN. This NAPKIN is to be used for covering Roger Baker's ar*e. Can anyone think of other acronyms which combine well?

I believe that Tony Blair has actually admitted that he got something wrong. He says his yob policy was mis-guided. Can some one confirm that this is correct, I never thought I would ever see the day when Blair admitted he had made a mistake.

This is probably the wrong section for this question, but it's a general query rather than a specific blog. Is anyone else having troble signing into their Blogspot Blog? I wanted to update my neighbourhood watch blog, anf the flipping thing doesn't recognise me any more. It's wildly frustrating. I might have to start another one. All that flipping work wasted, and people won't know where the new one is. Grrrr!

I have just marked an essay from one of my students entitled: Paradigmatic and Syntactic Delimitation: Resolving Ambiguity through Context While reading it, I thought it looked a bit familiar and the further I read through it, the more familiar it started to look. Then the penny dropped. It was a virtual word-for-word plaigarism of a paper that I wrote in 2001. The dummy who handed it in for marking hadn't even bothered to check on the authorship before copying it and handing it to me as her own work. Needless to say, she'll be for the high jump! Brutus

Dyslexic sues bank - because he can't read his statements by JO KNOWSLEY - More by this author » "Mail on Sunday" dated 29 April 2007. A dyslexic man is suing two major banks over charges he claims are unfair because he cannot understand their statements. Self-employed property developer Robert Neil claims Barclays and the Royal Bank of Scotland are in breach of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 by failing to take into account his difficulties in comprehending written words and figures. The 43-year-old says the banks' failure to communicate with him verbally, in a way he can understand, has led to stress, a bad credit rating and thousands of pounds in bank c…

http://www.newstatesman.com/200704300025 In my opinion, all this will have a knock on effect in Asia & the Middle East, now that America & Britain have removed the power bases that controlled these organizations & helped recruit people to their cause by being perceived as infidel invaders.Graham2007-04-28 20:53:54

This is a sample from the Cops Capers thread on this forum. ..................................... I had a visit to our local HMP recently to collect a prisoner being produced for an interview. Whilst waiting I noticed a large poster warning inmates about the outcome of trying to hide prohibited articles. The picture portrayed a very portly abdomen bearing a huge scar down the middle. This had been the result of the latest scam, which is to fill empty lemonade bottles with mobile phones, drugs etc and toss them over the wall into the prison. One such recipient had decided to avoid his mobile being detected by the authority and had secreted it in a very dark pla…
