Me and the wife went out together last night for a meal and a few drinks, my parents looked after the little man, and for the first time in quite a while we had time to ourselves. Having spent some time debating the merits of the different dishes on order we settled on a 8oz Rump steak (Welsh Black, hung for 21 days) for my wife and a 10oz gammon steak for me. Twenty minutes later and the food arrived, my wifes was undercooked, she does not like it to bleed on the plate and mine, well it was just the most disgusting piece of vomit i have ever tasted.. It was spongy and undercooked and had the background tang of bleach, the supplier had obviously pumped it full of wate…

Just a quick question. I have medals which I gained in the armed forces. Am I allowed to wear them on my uniform in the police force for ceremonal duties?

I’ve just been listening to Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 and I cant believe my ears. Ive been listening to a discussion regarding house in ashtead in surrey which saff are trying to purchase to provide temporary accommodation for service families visiting injured service personnel who are undergoing rehab at Headly Court. Gordon Brown wants the Union Flag to fly from every govenment building to promote Britishness, but it will not apply to Scotland, where apparently Britishness died years ago.( according to Alex Salmond.) The Union Flag is going to receive a make-over, by adding some black stripes to recongnise the fact that we live in a multi-cultural society. If we are not careful the flag will disappear altogether incase we upset some of our minorities who will want their colours on there as well.(full story on BBC News website).
