Trevor the farmer, was in the fertilised egg business He had several hundred young layers (hens), called 'pullets' and eight or ten roosters, whose job was to fertilise the eggs. The farmer kept records and any rooster that didn't perform went into the soup pot and was replaced. That took an awful lot of his time so he bought a set of tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone so Trevor could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report simply by listening to the bells. The farmer's favourite rooster was old Gordon, and a v…

Bats always turn left when they exit a cave. If you drop a raisin into a glass of fresh Champagne it will bounce from the top to the bottom of the glass continuously. Maverick222008-01-17 09:58:19

I am going through the application process for GMP at the moment and I live in stoke so if I get in then I will have a bit of a commute every day. I am learning to drive at the moment and hope to pass in the next few months so I will be on the look out for a car but obviously it needs to be something that will get me up and down the M6 every day. I will also only have a budget of about £1000! Can anyone suggest something reliable and decent that I could pick up for about that price?

A store dectective from a well known store told me about a new scam, or new to me. Person goes into store and buys 2 x packs of socks, 1 Pullover and an Anorack to the value of £85. Leaves shop and puts articles in his car. Returns to the store with the stores bag and receipt. Fills bag with 2 x pack of socks, 1 Pullover and Anorack, goes to till with receipt and asks for refund on all except socks. Gets refund of £75, leaves store happy, as he has aquired Pullover and Anorack for £10.(the value of the socks). Anyone else heard of this one.

Sayed Pervez Kambaksh has been sentenced to death for downloading something from the Internet. No it wasn't terrorism or child porn. It stated that Muslim fundamentalists who claimed the Koran justified the oppression of women had misrepresented the views of the prophet Mohamed. There is an online petition here I don't know if it will do any good. http://obscenedesserts.blogspot.com/2008/01/for-sayed-pervez-kambaksh.html

I just couldn't resist when I saw this story on Yahoo: McDonald's gets go-ahead for McQualifications By Adrian Croft Reuters - 2 hours 39 minutes ago LONDON (Reuters) - Burger chain McDonald's was among several high-profile companies given a green light on Monday to provide national qualifications to their employees, part of a shake-up of the welfare and training. McDonald's employees will now be able to train for what are inevitably already being dubbed McQualifications -- skills equivalent to an A-level in restaurant management. A-levels are the top examination for school leavers. It's part of a government drive to increase the options open to studen…

There has been quite a few programs on tv about binge drinking, in fact i think there is one on tomorrow. Now on these programs they get somebody to test how binge drinking effects your health. I understood that binge drinking is when one drinks so much in ONE session they can hardly stand! According to these programs its drinking for consecutive days rathar than drinking a load in one session. Am i wrong in thinking what binge drinking is?
