http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/showbiz/showbiznews.html?in_article_id=560622&in_page_id=1773 I have heard some good excuses from crims in the past, but ''it was the same colour as my scarf and didn't realise I had it'', is a little thin. Bob needs to watch her, she is heading for trouble, this isn't the first time.

The BBC management have closed a message board after what they called " offensive remarks" were made against two of its presenters: Sarah Kennedy & Bill Oddie. They claimed that these remarks amounted to "cyber-bullying. The BBC management had previously said that they wanted to be more responsive & open to its listeners and viewers. Some of the remarks written about Oddie called him rude, butting in while his co-presenter Kate Humble was speaking & that viewers had thought him to be an idiot. Kennedy was described by listeners as "making stupid remarks." Both of these people are quite strong minded & determined people, and remarks like…

I have just bought a copy of "The Zimbabwean" - a Zim newspaper that is good for news about what's going on ....... I paid 4 Botswana Pula (= UK35p) but noticed the local Zimbabwe price to be Zim$ 20 millions (yes, twenty million Zimbabwean dollars!); the UK price in 60p ............ Then I recalled Thabo Mbeki's comment that "there's no crisis in Zimbabwe" . So, when things look grim at home (and, yes, we complain here in Botswana that prices are high - petrol = 45p a litre, bread = 20p a loaf!) just think about the poor folk in Zimbabwe. The latest tactic of the Mugabe government is to move the Electoral Commission to new premises in an unknown location so…

There's a pic of me, aged 13, in my local weekly paper - but it's an excruciatingly embarrassing one - and I've been recognised by at least two people who asked me about it - almost disbelieving it could possibly have been me! Of course, I strenuously denied it was me, but it was, and it's been worrying me so much for the past couple of days that I haven't been sleeping properly. It was taken at my aunt's wedding several decades ago and nowadays, my aunt is something of a local celebrity, so the paper has done a feature on her. Among other pics is that dreaded photo! My aunt is the bride in the picture and posing around her is my older sister, two female cousins and…

An example, you are a black Police officer, and given orders to help police a BNP march, can this officer refuse the request? Another, on a lighter note, You are a Spurs fan, asked to Police a derby match between Arsenal and Spurs, you are then told you will be policing the Arsenal end, we know Arsenal will probably lose, so trouble may ensue, can an Officer refuse this request?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=560089&in_page_id=1770 I know this has been aired on here before, but the Jobesworth who persued this needs sacking. If it was real litter, not a problem, but an apple core is totally bio-degradeable. Tax payers money wasted on something so trivial.

A US man has been arrested after filling out a job application form before robbing a convenience store. Police in Athens, Georgia, are now holding Demetrius R obinson, 28, as a suspect in a number of local armed robberies. Robinson filled out the job application in the store to pass time until he and the clerk were alone, reports the Athens Banner-Herald. After the last customer left, he went behind the counter, pressed a steak knife into the clerk's side and made off with the contents of the till, according to police. Detective Jeff Clark said Robinson gave a bogus address on the form - but his real name and his uncle's telephone number. "It's kind of strange, but,…
