For those that don't know him, Major General Peter Cosgrove is an 'Australian treasure!' General Cosgrove was interviewed on the radio recently. It is a portion of an ABC interview between a female broadcaster and General Cosgrove who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military headquarters. FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Cosgrove, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base? GENERAL COSGROVE: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting. FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it? GENERAL COSGROVE: I don't see why, they'll be proper…

This joke has just been released from the National Records Archives, having been kept secret under the thirty-year rule. Murder at the cinema, kept all the punters behind to release them after we had their details. Bloke in a hurry, out with the wrong lady, says 'Can I go right now?' 'Not until you've filled in a questionnaire, sir' Next thing I know, there's a retired soldier covered in medals lying on the floor with a bloody nose. I thang yew. Prize for the oldest and funniest?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7368589.stm I wonder if this was sanctioned by Cherie Blair, she was always known to do anything for a 'quick buck'. I doubt if she knew until it was too late, she was never known for giving money away.

My sister's ex-husband is not short of brass and likes to show off. He has recently treated himself to a couple of jaguars which he intends to keep on his own private, enclosed land. The council have told him that he can only keep them there on condition that he insures them, but he has had all kinds of trouble finding an insurer to give him cover. My sister phoned me this morning and said that he had found an insurer in Luxembourg who'll give him one year's all-risks cover for the two for a measly twenty-four grand!!! More money than sense. None of the workers will lose a penny who presently work at the refinery, the pension scheme will only effect new employees. Held to ransom again by Trade Union Luddites.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7369437.stm What is the position here, is someone telling lies, or does someone just have a poor memory. Levy and Blair, both involved in 'cash for honours', both men proven liars, do we believe either of them. One thing is correct, Gollum Brown is a 'weak' leader. Lord Levy appears to me as a snivelling little creep who spent most of his time crawling up Blairs trouser leg.Maverick222008-04-27 07:37:32

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7357008.stm that wasn't the only thing he tried to hide from Pauline. He was still a fat slob who did nothing for politics in this country. The only thing he ever did was prove the greed of MP's, and bonk his PA across the desk in his office, not much to be proud of. Not many bigger scroungers than Fat John.

Her father was arrested but released because it was an honour killing. This is an outrage.

I just stumbled across this report. A third of UK girls between the ages of 11 and 19 have tried to harm themselves, according to a survey. I find this astonishing and worrying.

Check this out. http://aclu.org/pizza/images/screen.swf OK, it's humorous, but with the extent of unfettered public surveillance and our lousy nanny state, I reckon it could happen here. Does it give you the creeps? It should. It's our future unless we do something about it. Brutus Brutus2008-04-27 11:59:08
