Well it really looks like our 'Dear Leader' Pa Broone has shot himself in the foot with this latest incompetence. The abolishment of the 10 P Income Tax. This was one of the last 'Big Ideas' of Brown's last year when he made his last speech as Chancellor. Truly does show him up as a 'Toss Pot'. "For a split second yesterday, John Hutton's eyes bulged noticeably as the stark reality of "hammering" five million low-paid workers appeared to hit home. Amid all the talk about increased tax credits and child benefit, and how Labour since coming to power had significantly helped the less well-off, it was put to Westminster's Business Secretary that a single person earni…

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7326987.stm I think this just proves the very low mentality of those in the BNP. At least if they carry on with their wild ideas, then get the sack, there won't be many left in a few years.

What do you think is the most accurate fictional cop show? I would suggest the Bill in late eighties or (my personal favorite) the first series of Between the lines in early nineties about the met complaints investigation dept. Although the main story of an ambitious Supt on CIB was great the back story about policing in the Met appeared to be the equivalent of the "dark side" of the Bill but utterly compelling! There was also an early nineties show called "back up" (I think) about a van of support unit officers can anyone remember? Anyway open to the forum for nominations of best show. Stay safe :boxing: :boxing:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=557654&in_page_id=1770 it's not just the Speaker who is full of greed, two more here taking advantage. I find it hard to believe that Brown, Kebab, and all the others that have homes supplied by the State, i.e No 10, No 11, Dorney Wood, Admiralty House, have the right to claim second home allowances.

Snow White.... The 7 Dwarfs got up as usual one morning, had their breakfasts, then took their tools and set off for work at the mine... Snow White was going about her domestic business as usual, cleaning and preparing the evening meal for the Dwarfs. Suddenly there was a loud noise and sound like thunder that shook the Dwarfs forest home. Snow White Looked up in fright, and rushed out and over to where the mine was. There was clouds of dust billowing out of the entrance. Snow White plucked up her courage and went to the entrance and shouted out in a querelous voice.... "Anyone down there.... Please, anyone down there!!" Suddenly a voice from the gloom cried o…

In light of your failure to nominate competent candidates for President of the USA and thus to govern yourselves, we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective immediately. Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will resume monarchical duties over all states, commonwealths, and territories (except Kansas, which she does not fancy). Your new prime minister, Gordon Brown, will appoint a governor for America without the need for further elections. Congress and the Senate will be disbanded. A questionnaire may be circulated next year to determine whether any of you noticed. To aid in the transition to a British Crown Dependency, the following rules…

Righto folks, it seems that Penbwlch hasn't a clue what merciful means. He needs a plavce ot learn. I've tried explaining, but to no avail, so we'll have to show him with role play. As you know, I'm a reformed character who has done nothing requiring punishment recently (apart from seriously piss some people off, but that's in the serious part, not the humour sections.) You girls are obviously very much naughtier than I now, so can I have a volunteer to help me train Pen in being merciful, please?M&MBM2008-03-09 23:00:30

Waiting to have my bike MOTd today, I was wandering around our newly built British Standard Shopping Centre to kill time. I wandered into one of those 'gadget and crap' shops that seem to inhabit every such centre, in search of some useless gadget I would need to acquire the moment I saw it, when I saw a group of young lads and lasses standing around, engaged in the ever popular activity of that particular social group, which is to say, looking for a shag, while pretending that is the last thing on your mind. One of the lads picked up a juggling kit and proceeded to make a hash of it in a miraculously short time. He dropped one of the balls from the kit, and …

Police who pulled up an overloaded lorry in China were amazed to find the driver had no hands. The lorry was stopped for carrying five times its permitted load of six tonnes, reports Bandao Metropolis News. "When we came to the cab window, we were surprised to see the driver was handless," says a Jimo city traffic police spokesman. The driver, Zhang, was handling the unadapted lorry with the stumps on his wrists - and didn't even have a driving licence. Zhang insists there is no problem with his driving, and that the only reason he has no licence is his disability. His hands were blown off by firecrackers when he was 12. "I went to six driving schools, but none of th…

News coming out of Zimbabwe this morning indicates that Mugabe has told they Opposition that if they claim victory in last Saturday's elections he will consider their actions to be an "attempted coup" - which he will put down "in the interests of the people"(and, no doubt, in a bloody manner!). I'm sure it wont be long before Gollum and his crew pick up on this novel idea and we can expect a suitable response to any opposition to Nu Labour! Seriously, though, one of my Zimbabwean colleagues reminded me this morning that the only really fair election that Zimbabwe has ever had was supervised by British (civil & military) Police Officers!
