A couple have been given back their VW Golf car - 14 years after it was stolen. Milos and Spomenka Jokic, from Setic in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, had their Mark II Golf stolen after they parked it on a street in Belgrade during a holiday in 1994. They returned a few hours later to find it gone, but were more surprised when a policeman knocked on their door this week and told them they had found the car. Spomenka Jokic, 51, said: "Me and my husband thought it was a joke at first but the police told us they had stopped a driver during a routine roadside check and realised it was stolen and then traced it back through old records to us. "It seems it had actually be…

Hi Most of you will know that I have a lot of time on my hands these days, working in the Finance Industry and as a result a thought just popped into my head... If a woman or a man (well I have to be PC else I'll get my wrists slapped) have breast implants, can they join they Force? I mean the silcone gel is meant to be dangerous if the pouch begins to leak and someone who is in Force could be at risk at having them burst when in a dangerous situation. Just wondering... anyone know? Ta

I know it's usually Mav foaming at the mouth over this sort of thing, but to my mind, this deserved 2 years at least. I'd have given him 8 months for the theft alone. I suppose it's because he's a yuouth, and it's supposed to be remedial more than punitive, but really, what kind of message is this sentence giving this lad, and his mates?

Flooding again? It's just over a year ago (I think) that Cheltenham & Gloucestershire got flooded out. I am hoping it doesn't happen again but we've had nearly solid rain today & on & off rain for the past week or so. It's more like October/November here than July My parents were supposed to be going away camping for the weekend in Wales but the campsite has phoned to say they are waterlogged & all bookings are cancelled until the ground dries up & the weather clears. I'm not sure just how true the reports are as everyone could be on hyper alert after last year but it is very wet here at the moment. Anybody else having rough weather?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1031784/Schoolboys-punished-detention-refusing-kneel-pray-Allah.html The Jobsworth of a teacher should be sacked over this, what on earth are schools coming to. I have no objection to children learning about other religions, but not made to kneel and pray to an unknown quantity, or ficticious God.

police aptitude test How do you tell the difference between a British Police Officer, an Australian Police Officer and an American Police Officer?Pose the following question: You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises the knife, and charges. You are carrying a Glock 40, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do? UK POLICE OFFICER'S ANSWER Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor …

A red-faced lover had to call the emergency services after locking himself into a metal chastity belt then losing the key... A red-faced lover had to call the emergency services after locking himself into a metal chastity belt then losing the key. The Sun reports that the man dialled 999 after trying on the belt in Kingston, Surrey, while his girlfriend was out. Mark Wickenden from the dating site www.uniformdating.com said, “Its not unusual for us to hear stories of firefighters having to rescue our police colleagues who have used their handcuffs for ‘extra-curricular activities’ , but this is the first time I have heard of problems with a chastity beltâ€.
