Apparently Canadian Police have been asked to use their bullets sparingly, due to a shortage of ammunition. "Although the distributors of ammunition to Canadian Law enforcement agencies are based in Canada, the stock is imported from manufacturers in the United States." News reports stated that due to heavy pressure on supplies from "bulging" U.S. Armed Forces orders, supplies are getting tighter. This restriction mainly applies to training sessions, where there is a more flexible choice of weapons. Source Canwest news and CBC. I just hope that organised crime is experiencing the same restrictions! Batman27362008-08-17 14:09:24

THE woman cop who worked as a £100-an-hour hooker did raunchy lapdances for clients in just knee-high boots, The Sun can reveal. The sexy routine made the WPC one of the most popular escorts on website Notorious Girls — which raked in nearly £800,000 a year. The 28-year-old entertained up to 20 clients a week. A source said: “She was very, very popular. She knew exactly what the fellas wanted. “She wasn’t into kinky stuff . . . the killer touch was the boots.†The beat bobby, in hiding last night and on suspension from Northumbria police, joined the website as “Kelly†in 2006. She stopped last summer but started again recently due to money worrie…

Crashed car gets parking fine A motorist was given a £50 ticket for bad parking when her car was shunted into a tree by another driver. Joanne Billington was fined by an overzealous traffic warden after her Ford Ka, which she'd left parked, was hit by another driver. "I was absolutely devastated," the 27-year-old told Metro. "I just couldn't believe what had happened." "It was obvious the car had been crashed into but I still got a fine. It's unbelievable that the attendant had the gall to issue one." Amazingly, despite the front end of the car being in the bushes, the traffic warden claimed he thought it had been parked that way. "Nobody parks their car like that…

For those of you who haven't seen this tv series, then you're all in for a treat. I recently borrowed the entire series from a friend and I was totally blown away by how good it was. It's shot like a fly on the wall documentary, but it's highly engaging and has a brilliant storyline. You can find out more information about it here: http://www.world-productions.com/wp/conten...s/cops/cops.htm

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1043552/Gnome-Stolen-garden-elf-returned-7-month-adventure-world.html The Dork of the Day award goes to the Gloucestershire Police spokesperson who obviously has no sense of humour. Perhaps KB can tell us who it is.

DNA profiles of innocent people should be removed from the national database, a government-funded inquiry has said. Control of the database should be taken from government and police and an independent body should be established to run it, the Citizens' Inquiry urged. Javed Aslam, one of the 30 members of the public on the panel, said keeping the records would be "the first step towards a totalitarian state". But the Home Office said the database helps to secure convictions. The UK has the largest police DNA database in the world - with more than four million people on file. The four-month inquiry was overseen by the Human Genetics Commission (HGC), whi…
