I looked for the PCism thread, but I couldn't find it. Here's a story about a bloke smoking in his van. They'll be banning the consumption of pasties and sausage rolls soon, to save us all from heart disease. I've also just notiuced this bit. Mr Williams was driving on the A487 near Aberystwyth in his unmarked blue Suzuki Carrier van when he was pulled over by council officials carrying out spot checks on the safety of vehicles. Have council officials any right to stop vehicles? M&MBM2008-07-25 06:36:51

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/wiltshire/7536463.stm if the Army does not tolerate beasting, and senior officers are made aware of this, why did this incident occur. it doesn't matter what the result of the Court Case was, the three men, and the Captain were responsible for his death. They may not be guilty of manslaughter, but if there had been no beasting the lad would still be alive. Lets hope the Courts Martial sort them out and they are all dismissed from the Army. This is bullying in the highest degree.

Mini-Me is not flavour of the month in our household She's got involved with a girl from school who appeared to be a nice girl. MM went to the park with her yesterday & today we had a lovely WPC from a local police station on the phone asking for MM.... Both girls are eleven or near on eleven. Turns out this supposed nice friend of MM's had been baiting these older boys in the park & one had rounded on a classmate of MM's, hitting him quite badly from what it seems. When the police phoned up & asked for MM I was very surprised, mother was hopping mad & just called her down & said "Police are on the phone for you" I think it had the desired effec…

German police women are to be issued with bullet-resistant bras. The new underwear was developed as a second barrier of defence after normal bras were found to cause injuries while on duty, reports the Daily Telegraph. The officers' bullet-proof vests, while stopping the force of gunshots in an attack, pushed the plastic and metal parts of their underwear into their flesh. Carmen Kibat, a policewoman in Hamburg who tested the new underwear, said: "These can save someone's life so it's not a laughing matter." She organised "Action Brassiere" across Germany, getting hundreds of policewomen to try the bras out in the line of duty. They are all emblazoned with the word "…

I spent a frustrating 30 minutes this afternoon searching the web for waterwicking trousers. Everytime I typed "waterwicking trousers" into Yahoo I would get mostly UK websites in the results. I went in and out of Yahoo a couple of times thinking that I had Yahoo UK up instead of US (which I often do). Went out, got a sandwich, freshened up the ole cup of joe, tried it again...same thing. Then I realized, if I wanted AMERICAN websites, I needed to type in pants. I'm being converted, ya'll

Nice to see that China are making all of us welcome at the games...just dont you dare show your support of your national hero with a flag other than the Union Jack. Clicky. Clicky. Welcome to Beijing, show any of the non sanctioned flags and you will be arrested, and well who knows what. Clicky. Clicky. The IOC really stood up for the traveling fan there then, I mean what harm does it do.
