Just seen this whilst looking through the news: Sterling losses gather moment amid fears of the UK sliding into recession. I've got a basic understanding of the economy etc, but I don't know enough to give an accurate opinion on the issue. Surely it can't be good news though, not with inflation at 4.4% and with intrests rates widely expected to be dropped. What do you think this holds for us all in the future? repeat of the early 90's?

Hi folks, My Saxo is up for sale (basically because I've gone and bought a Golf GTI) It's got tax & MOT left, 35,000 miles, Pioneer CD player, Usual Saxo specification, I've not thrashed it like some... All the wheels are in tip-top condition as are the tyres. I bought it off a mate of mine who buys in minor damaged cars & rebuilds them - in this case it was a minor front, offside impact resulting in a replaced wing, bumper and door. It's never let me down so I know of no faults/problems. It's in good condition - pictures can be emailed - feel free to PM me for further details. Ideal for nipping around the city centre etc. Gets about 30-35mpg so good on …

I have just been gob smacked! I am absolutely bewildered at what I have just seen. In short... two female sisters (twins) walking along the hard shoulder of a motorway stopped by HATO as one had been hit by a red car on the opposite carriageway, police officers we called in for assistance and they both leg it, when the officers arrive. One, being run over by an articulated lorry and the other being hit, for the second time, by a Polo. The amazing thing being the one that was hit twice got up the second time and run away, again back over the other carriageway. While her sister still on the ground trying to fight off any help. Sorry, I know this might not make much sense …

I witnessed a demonstration this morning, of the Future Attribute Screening Technology, (FAST), which is being developed by Homeland Security in both Canada & the U.S. for use in screening and identifying people with criminal intent, particularly at Borders or at events likely to present terrorist threats. Representatives from Border Control agencies, from other countries, appeared very interested in this technology, which is close to being ready for roll out in North America. The technology is portable and non invasive, although not cheap, it does not need a large staff to operate it.
