The Metropolitan Police was accused last night of shielding officers against accusations of rape after it emerged that dozens of complaints had not resulted in a single conviction over the past five years. ….. Times on line One reader's response: If you are unstaisfied with "your lot" come to suny Queensland and join a real Police Service. We already have some of the Mets finest and with a few more you can form your own branch of the union. P.S. We don't want June or Reg Hollis.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Ron Barker2009-01-11 11:44:17

I don't think I was being unreasonable. Perhaps if a few more tried it, things might start to get better. Day one. Walking during my lunch hour, a group of about five Asian lads are walking behind me, on a fairly busy street, discussing the current situation in Gaza. Fine enough except every other word was based around the universal Anglo Saxon Adjective / adverb, the remainder consisting mostly of 'innit' variations. After a couple of minutes, I addressed the main offender, saying somethng like "Your persistent and loud use of the word 'f**k' is offensive, and gives people that hear it quite an impression of you. People will judge both you and yours because…

Discretion is advised before clicking this link & viewing the following photographs. "The eagerly awaited 2009 Government Charity Calendar went on sale yesterday sparking controversy in political circles about the decision to allow cabinet ministers to be photographed in the nude. The twelve images feature the major Labour ministers in ‘relaxed and artistic’ poses carrying out their ministerial duties completely in the buff." Eagerly awaited? Whoever's eagerly awaiting that needs their head testing! Really, it's enough to put you off your breakfast. And any new recruits who get given shiny new custodian helmets, I'd give them a wipe over with bleach if I …

An entire load of quality wine was shed from a lorry at Junction 16 of the M6 today. The Highways Agency called for MerlotMonster to assist with the cleanup operation but unfortunately was not contactable on her free wine freephone number. Sorry Merlot but the first line is true. I feel your anguish.
