Police boss demonstrates scooter The scooter was in police livery for the show A futuristic electric scooter has been demonstrated by Sussex Police as part of a "then and now" themed display at the South of England Show in Ardingly. The T3 Motion has three wheels, a 9in (23cm) raised riding platform to give good visibility above crowds and can reach a top speed of 25mph. The scooter, in blue and yellow livery, was demonstrated by officers including Chief Constable Martin Richards. Sussex Police plan to use the scooter during patrols at Gatwick Airport. The T3 Motion has been used by police forces in the United States but is not legal on UK roads, a police spok…

I would appreciate your thoughts on this: My wife's eldest nephew has fallen in love with a Pakistani girl and she, and her entire family, are strict Muslims. Nephew was told by his exotic girlfriend that they could date, but that he must respect both her "honour" (i.e. no hanky panky) and her religion, and he was happy to do that as he's obviously in love with the lass. After dating her for about 10-months, he has now proposed to her and she has said that she will accept if her father agrees. So off he went to meet his prospective father-in-law who, contrary to his expectations, said he would be delighted to approve the wedding, but on certain conditions. The first …

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/11_06_09mainlist.pdf The annual 'pat on the back awards', mainly to Civil Servants who have just worked for HMG for thirty years, but have done nothing out of the ordinary. Only about ten on the list probably deserve any award. Lets kick the whole system into touch, or give everyone a Knighthood who has worked for thirty years. I just cannot see how Faldo gets a 'Sir' for just knocking a little white ball around.

http://www.thisisdevon.co.uk/news/156mph-biker-filmed-death-crash-walks-free/article-1071747-detail/article.html Self inflicted death, cannot have much sympathy for the rider, but this really was worth a few years inside.

http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8091605.stm Some might say he deserves it, others would say he has as much right to talk as anyone else, whatever his views. My only comment would be the surprising lack of Police presence outside the Houses of Corruption Parliament. Especially as it appeared pretty common knowledge the BNP were holding a press conference and that was sure to attract trouble.

Ok is it just me. After how amazingly brilliant Life on Mars was series 1 of Ashes to Ashes was such a let down. Not enough Gene Hunt and the gang and Alex's charachter just annoyed me to death....however i still fancied her (dont tell the wife) :whistle2: Anyway, the writers so got it back together on series 2, back to the brilliance writing skills they displayed so much during Life on Mars. I so cant wait for series 3. My thoughts are that they are going to tie Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes together The reason i share this with everyone is from asking about alot of people didnt watch series 2 after watching series 1 and being felt let down....my advice....buy …

Hey, I'm from Dudley, which is near Wolverhampton/Birmingham and that's in the West Midlands. I'm not a Police Officer, as I'm only fifteen and still studying at School. I come across this website (and forum) when I was researching about things that are needed to be a police officer, as I'm hoping to join my local force when I leave school and are eligible to apply. :)

Bored out of my head and have smashed my finger up. Anyone know of any good painkillers for broken bones? Tried ibuprofen and it does not cut the mustard hahahaha. Broken plenty of bones before but this is a little different as I took a nasty kick to the tip of my finger and it has well and truly buckled and I am struggling to find good pain relief. Anybody ever had a similar injury and found something that does the job well? Feeling rather fed up at the moment and hoping it heals in time for my training

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8080968.stm Here's fun. Attempt to smuggle drugs into a country where the penalty for doing so is death. Get caught. Admit your guilt. Spend time in prison waiting for your day (or few hours) in court. Realise that, because you've admitted that you're guilty, they're going to execute you unless you are pregnant. Find somebody to donate sperm (no, a sh*tload of sperm) to get yourself pregnant. Get pregnant. Get sentenced to life. Have somebody from the Foreign Office start to arrange for you to serve your sentence back in the UK. Unbelievable...........I'd venture to suggest that we don't want her back. She can stay there - be a da…
