Here's the latest bullsh*t. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8114546.stm The new criminal offences will be knowingly providing false or misleading information in a claim for an allowance, failing to comply with the rules on registration (of interests), and breaching the rules which ban paid advocacy - the ban on payment to MPs by interest groups to raise issues in the Commons. Making a false claim would be punishable by up to 12 months in jail or an unlimited fine. The other two would be punishable by fines of up to £5,000. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't this be fraud, under the Fraud Act, with a maximum sentence of ten years? …

I thought the sectarian killings among Christians in Northern Ireland was bad enough until I read about this. While we may currently condemn the prejudicial attitudes being engendered within the Islamic world against western, Christian & Judaic interests, this shows that there is more than enough to be concerned about similar attitudes within the Christian world.

I am just glad that this mealy-mouthed, false claims merchant didn't get the job as Speaker. As one of the most inefficient Ministers(remember DEFRA)of NuLabour, she doesn't deserve to get the post.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/5639361/Jana-Bennett-claimed-100-bouquet-to-congratulate-Jonathan-Ross-on-his-18m-contract.html Seems it isn't just MP's who love to spend our money. It's a total disgrace that this woman is refunded £500 for her stolen handbag, she should have looked after it better. Would the Police Force pay for an officers wallet or purse if it was stolen while they were on duty.

Please could response officers give some idea of what their role entails here please... like how their "day" is structured. What happens if they nick someone... is that them off the streets for the shift and beyond. What up to date training do they need? I'd like to get a truer picture than The Bill or people's imaginations portrays. Up sides and down sides.

A flyer was recently sent round to Labour Party members, advertising the services of one Paul Richards, who trains people in public speaking. Do you wish to improve your public speaking skills to help you get selected as a Labour candidate or help you in your role as a PPC Council candidate or elected representative? If so come along to the Labour Party's bespoke public speaking training session," it exhorts. For £40, anyone can take advantage of the wisdom of Mr Richards: a "former government special adviser, professional trainer, author of "How to Win an Election" and Labour parliamentary candidate in 1997 & 2001." The author of How to Win an Elec…

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1195118/Police-let-say-Britons-damning-Whitehall-survey.html I am not surprised at the result of this survey. Everyday in the papers you read of people complaining about yobs, noise and generally bad behaviour, try getting a police officer to come and deal with it. Ring and say you want something done about speeding vehicles and within minutes someone is outside with a Muni-quip. We need to do away with the targets culture and get back to sorting out the yobs and drunkards who terrorise older people.

Hi there, I am contacting you from BBC Entertainment where we are looking for some contestants for a new Gameshow Pilot. We're really keen to get people from all walks of life involve in the show and feel that UK Police Online would be a perfect place to outreach to. If you could help us get the details out to Police men/women and their supporting officers that would be a real help. I have attached our Flyer for the show, but just to explain things in a nutshell - it'll be a Saturday Evening gameshow where teams of 3 answer questions and then have to run (against obstacles!) to determine the number of points they get for answering correctly. It's going to be a fun show…
