It must do. I was listening to some money program on BBC4 which was dealing with divorce and separation, with reference to finances. One woman came on to ask if she was entitled to anything from her male partner. They had not married, she had been with her partner for 17 years IIRC, had brought up his children, minded the house, she had paid nothing towards the house, which was in his name alone. The answer was quite depressing for her, in as much as it looked strongly like she was going to get nothing from him. He had just given her the heave ho. The panelists all expressed opinions about how unfair this was. I'm afraid I didn't agree. This woman made …

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1201079/Police-text-message-service-shelved-just-people-day-used-number-report-crimes.html I wonder who the idiot was who thought up this waste of money scheme. Could have been Jacqui Smith, it sounds daft enough to be her idea.

I'm just hearing about this on the WS. Aren't block parties a regular staple of UK life? The one I'm hearing about in Liverpool sounds quite elaborate. Here neighbors just decide on a day, put their bbqs on the street and everyone wanders from house to house to eat, drink and party.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1201224/Mother-cried-rape-jailed-years.html What a pity she didn't get five years at least. A slut of a woman who deserves no sympathy. The usual excuses put forward, upset at separation, takes to drink, etc etc. There is no excuse, she is just a liar who put that poor man through hell.

I'm sorry, I'm not familar with the term 'bitch'. I'd like a steak tartare, rare, with sauted potatoes, petit pois, & a Chardonnay to follow. Who left this 10p piece on the floor of the shower? Officer! Who left this hole in the cell wall?

Hey guys - just thought i'd share one of my internet addictions with you : http://postsecret.blogspot.com/ In their own words: "PostSecret is an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a postcard." Usually, the decorated/defaced postcard has some significance to the secret..sometimes none at all. The secrets run the gamut of human emotion: happy, sad, resentful, bitter, optimistic, you name it and touch on all kinds of subjects from marriage, divorce, love, The [past, the future, lonliness, fear & hope. They update the page every sunday and it's become a ritual to have a look on thier early sunday afternoon…

This is continued from the post http://www.ukpoliceonline.co.uk/index.php?...mp;#entry376438 I will start with this headline making piece of news. I must add thou this disclaimer. Anyone portraid in this news article is fictitious as this the story created. So i was walking down Brent street, Hendon 3.am 7 years back, when nothing was happening, i saw and will happily testify to this, a Police car happened by doing about 28MPH, saw that nothing was happening, and continued his/her journey. I saw the Police car stop at the traffic lights on the corner of Brent street and The north circular road. My argument is, just because nothing was happening, and there wasn`t a so…

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8156279.stm I suppose it might stop people seeing the doctor for trivial reasons, but if it acted as a barrier to taking some of the more embarrassing (but deadly) sympotoms like lumps in personal places, it will end up costing more, not saving money. Our doctors are so hard to get to see you have to be seriously unwell to even contemplate it. Besides, the waiting room is full of sick people spreading germs. Ugh.
