Labour wanted mass immigration to make UK more multicultural, says former adviser. Labour threw open Britain's borders to mass immigration to help socially engineer a "truly multicultural" country, a former Government adviser has revealed. By Tom Whitehead, Home Affairs Editor 'Telegraph' Published: 6:42PM BST 23 Oct 2009 The huge increases in migrants over the last decade were partly due to a politically motivated attempt by ministers to radically change the country and "rub the Right's nose in diversity", according to Andrew Neather, a former adviser to Tony Blair, Jack Straw and David Blunkett. Would it not be a good idea if a General news Discussion section was introduced on UKPoliceOnline? A thread has been closed on the Police news section because it has been deemed of topic by the mods, but there is no suitable place for non-police news threads, putting a thread titled "Extremists tarnishing the reputation of the military" and "Russian circus bear kills manager" in the Canteen section, is not quite right. This site has got sections for other non related police issues. so why not a News section? I think such a section would prove extremly popular.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8313680.stm So a big argument is brewing over the BBC allowing the leader of the BNP to appear on Question Time. Various people are arguing that they shouldn't be allowed on this programme, in fact when it was announced on last week's edition the entire audience booed.
