Hey guys, Does anyone know if you can be a special whilst working as a Civil Enforcement Officer?

Can someone please tell me the pass mark for the interview for the Met Police?? and if you do bad in the interview would it be a fail?

Evening, so I've received an email from Enlighten the company running the Internal CKP, giving me my login details for the course etc and then it says this... *** Don’t forget to bring your printed and signed student contract (this is supplied to you by the MPS so if you have not received it please contact MPS Recruitment as we cannot assist with this) So we're meant to bring these signed contacts but I haven't received anything. Anyone else received their contract yet? Or is the met just being the met?

I've recently been notified by HR that the intensive and Hybrid course is unavailable as they are reviewing the course. I was then booked on to a 6 month weekend course which finishes in February. I was also then told that my 1st AND 2nd choice in my chosen London borough's were too full and I was given my 3rd choice. I was wondering if there will be any chance before the end of my training course to be able to change the borough I was given? And also if I could be told whether my first choice in borough has become available? Thank you

"As a new Police Constable, you'll receive a basic starting salary of £22,668 plus £6,687 London allowances. This rises to £37,626 plus London allowances in line with relevant Home Office guidelines and police regulations." this is found on the police constable application page, does anyone know how london allowance works and if it is extra money given or do you have to apply for it?

Hi, I had applied to Metropolitan Police Service, and had been offered an invite into the Certificate in Knowledge Police (CKP) Trainee Placement Course, proceeded by a place on the Police Training Course. I accepted the offer and received confirmation I’d been booked onto the internal CKP course. I’ve also been informed by my employment referee that a reference was requested from him this week. Though none of my other referees have been contacted yet. I need to give 4 weeks’ notice to my employer, so should I resign from my current employment now or should I wait for further confirmation from the recruitment team?

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone else is in the same position as me; so I complete my Day 2 and vetting in mid/late August and received my CKP certificate in late October (HR is aware). We are in December now and Im still waiting for a start date. It feels like Ive been waiting forever (4 months). Still not heard anything about references either. Is anyone else on the same boat as me,

Hello guys, I would like to ask if, in the vetting process, the police checks someone's details in another country. For example, I am greek. Would the police contact the greek police authorities to verify my details? Many thanks in advance, Spiros

Dear all, just wondering if there are any Lambeth(LX) officers here I am wondering what this borough is like I know its busy but how is it for specials and how are you used? can you do ops,response,aid,what shifts can you do are you posted to a response team and so on? and what station do you parade out of? any info would be appreciated about this borough as I am applying next month and have chosen Hackney 1st choice and Newham as my 2nd. Evening, I had my day 2 assessment back in Sept which I passed based on the fitness test and no failures elsewhere. I was called back a few days after completion as my finger prints hadn't registered properly but other than this I have had nothing back to inform me of any issues. Someone else that I have been on both Day 1 & 2 with who also had the same issue as me with fingerprints has since been given a start date for January 3rd. Has anyone else had a start date for the Met yet? I was originally told we will hear back between 4-6 weeks after day 2 assessments, it's not been over 6 weeks and I'm a bit concerned. My current specials force have told me the met have contacted them, so I'm guessing I'm going through vetting. How long does this take and what are peoples experiences in this stage? Thank you

Hi, I received an email yesterday from the Metropolitan Police Recruitment Team offering me a conditional place on an Internal CKP course and police training, subject to satisfactory references. I accepted the offer, and they responded by confirming I had been booked onto the Internal CKP course. My question is when will the recruitment team contact my referees for references, prior to the CKP course or the actual police training? Thanks!
