Hi All, Can anyone currently on a response team please send me their shift pattern through so I can take a look at it if I PM you my aware details? I am looking at possibly a return to borough in the near future on promotion and I am thinking of requesting team for a variety of reasons but would like to know what the shift pattern situation is like. I'm quite out of date as I was last on a response team in 2011 and I've been off borough for well over a year. Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I'm in the process of applying to join the MSC. I live JUST outside the Met boundary line near Sunbury on Thames so would have to travel into the Big Smoke. Providing I'm successful in my application, which boroughs are particularly SC friendly in the West/SW? I would prefer not to travel miles if possible. I'd be happy to travel as far Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kingston, Richmond, Wandsworth, Merton and Sutton. I live just outside the TFL area (so my train fayre to travel into London are rather steep). Thank you in advance for any advice. F_B

Hello, I am a bit out of London (Kent), but i am planning on joining the met. I was wondering what areas would be best to join here is what i was thinking 1. Bromley 2. Hackney 3. Kingson or Croydon I was thinking of Westminster as i would be interested in policing protests but i do not feel comfortable being asked directions for somewhere so far from where i live also i think if i am on another borough i could get put on aid. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Good afternoon everyone, I gave been invited for an assessment with the Met on the 29 and I would like to ask a couple of questions. Does anyone know what other tests are there apart from the interview fitness and medical etc? Is it verbal reasoning and numeracy only or are there more? I'm trying to buy some books to freshen up my brain a bit. Kindest regards, Spiros Sent from my iPad using Police Community

I've just been on a group chat with the met recruitment team who said that the role plays are performed infront of other candidates. Is this correct? I always thought it was just yourself, a role player and assessor with an independent observer occasionally present. Any ideas?

Hi Everyone Im new to this site so I hope I am posting this correctly. To anyone who has RECENTLY attended the Met Day 1. I've gone through the Met Day 1 process before (unsuccessful) so I am familiar with what to expect or so I thought. I've read that one of the two written exercises involve watching a DVD. Is this correct? (The last time I went through my day 1 back in 2014 there was no DVD watching)

This petition has started doing the rounds. Please sign in support of some of those who have just done a month of seven on, two off. Hopefully this will garner some press interest and a review will magically occur after the "consultation" responses were so roundly ignored.

I would be grateful if anyone would be able to advise further. The MET POLICE require two Personal References of people I have known for 5 years (can't be close friends or relatives). I do not have anyone I have know besides my manager for 3 years or employment references. I have not been in full time education either so cannot provide that. Would they refuse to employ you based on the fact you are unable to provide Personal References? I can provide 5 years worth of Employment References. Has anyone else experience this with the MET POLICE? If so what did they do? Thanks so much!

Hi, Just a quick one for you guys. I have recently moved to London from Manchester. I was ready to start as a special in Manchester but relocated due to work commitments. I am here now perm in London. I had passed everything for GMP specials and I was wondering does anyone know if you can transfer application to Met? Or would I have to start a new application for the Met police. Really gutted I had to move as I was looking forward to starting as a special. Does every force use SEARCH scores? Thanks,

Hi guys, I've heard theres no written test any more for the regulars day 1 assessment. Just wondered if anyone know how this affects the marking? For example is there more points available for the interview and rile plays now? Also is it true if you fail the maths part you can still pass over all? Thanks.

Hi guys. I have my Day 1 on the 28th August and I can't wait to put it behind me. I know this is a challenging day and for everyone a important one. My weakest area is maths and I am panicking with worry that I'm going to fail the whole day by receiving a grade D. I am trying to practise maths at the moment but nothing seems to be sticking. should I be worried? Anyone done day 1 recently have any advise? Can I fail the whole day if I get a D grade for maths? Thanks in advance guys.

I've been emailed saying I start my CKP on Saturday, every Saturday and Sunday for 10 (or 12 weeks), however I was under the assumption doing the internal CKP it would be full time Monday-Friday. Weekends I can't do it as I work, and I have to give 3 weeks notice to my workplace, and I've JUST been notified of the CKP today which starts THIS saturday! I've already spoken to my workplace and I cannot get time off for 10 weekends. Any help guys?

Does that mean if I decline I decline those dates or I withdraw myself from the whole process?
