Looking to sell your used equipment or other unwanted items? Our "For Sale & Trade" section is the perfect place to connect with fellow members interested in buying what you no longer need. Whether it’s tools, electronics, or hobby gear, feel free to list it here! Some of you might find this difficult to believe, but I don't know everything. There must be others out there who have wondered what things do, but have been afraid to ask? Now is the time - someone on here must be able to answer that pressing question that has been bugging you for years. I'll start and I think that Penbwlch and BAF (where is he these days?) might be able to answer. First off - when I drive through the countryside or along the motorway, every now and again I see a post, about four feet high, with what can best be described as a pitched roof on top. This little roof structure is usually high visibility orange. They are usually at the edge or corner of…

THE NEW TEN COMMANDMENTS So, embracing the gospel of "Climate Change" is our "moral" duty, according to Gordon Brown, British PM in waiting. He told BBC Radio 4's Today programme global warming would hit those in the poorest countries the hardest. All that was missing was a little tear trickling down his face as he thought of all those poor third worlders, losing their lives because of OUR capitalistic greed. Right? So, here are the new ten commandments for all those who embrace dour Gordon's "moral" imperative. Off we go - back to the Stone Age but hey - we're saving the Planet!

Don't let them into your property. They have no right of access. My neighbour had problems with them trying to enter his house, he rang the Police and they turned up and ejected them off his property. Make them come back with aCourt Order, they don't bother half the time, it's all bluff to start with.Maverick222007-01-27 11:38:08

Honour in a strange place, The News of the World, or at least their ex editor. No blaming anybody else or complaining that he didn't know. 'Andy Coulson said he took "ultimate responsibility" for the royal phone hacking affair and said the actions of his royal editor Clive Goodman were "entirely wrong".' http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/01/27/now27.xml It is relatively rare to see such honour in high places these days, and rare as hens teeth to find it in politicians. The present cabinet could learn a lot as could many senior managers.

Four of my fellow instructors will be taking part in the 2007 Atlantic Rowing Race, paddling all the way from the Canary Islands to Antigua in a 20 foot long boat. To prove that they are totally mad, they are going to attempt to break the crossing record, currently held by a French team. So why are they doing it? All to raise money and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. One of the team, Andy, has a son who has CF and as such, the CF Trust is the charity adopted by the CO11(2) instructors. You can read more about their efforts at the website, www.4row4cf.co.uk and any donations would be really gratefully received.chesterpfx2007-01-29 11:49:26

Just heard on Sky News that a second man has been charged with Nisha Patel Nasree's murder and he will appear in court on 30 January. Good news methinks, even though it wont bring her back. OldAfricaHand2007-01-26 16:12:53

I hope everyone here has taken advantage of the brief window of opportunity we are now enjoying to opt out of the NHS electronic patient care records system. If not, get your letter in NOW! The government plan to start uploading your confidential medical records this Spring, possibly as early as the end of February, so get and send this letter to your GP while you still can (if you value your privacy, that is). A friend of mine is a police surgeon and he told me that most doctors have long since opted out, as have all celebrities and even most MPs (including Labour ones!) You can download the letter here: http://www.nhsconfidentiality.org/optoutletter…

This country gets worse. You thought it was just the Home Office who were a bunch of prats, well take a look at this. I just opened the package I got from the chemist which should have contained my regular tablets for an endocrine problem I have and found they have given me anti-malaria tablets by mistake!!!! Jeez! I don't know what the side effects of Larium are but I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be taking them if I'm not visiting a tropical country. The prescription was handwritten and was for "Logynon", so it's not even as though they sound the same. If I had taken these malaria pills, or at least said I had, I could have sued that pharmacist and got a new ca…
