Why is it that people say they 'slept like a baby' when babies wake up every two hours? If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing? Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are flat? Why do banks charge a fee on 'insufficient funds' when they know there is not enough? Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet? Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection? Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard? Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him? Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets? W…

From the Daily Mail........ Woman rescued after sitting on boyfriend's toilet for TWO YEARS Last updated at 14:57pm on 13th March 2008 Comments (16) Stuck: The woman spent so long on the toilet her skin had grown around the seat A woman had to be rescued by emergency services after being stuck on her boyfriend's toilet for two years. The 35-year-old's skin had grown around the seat and her legs had wasted away. Her boyfriend, 36, would bring her food and water and ask her whether she was ready to come out of the bathroom. She would reply, "maybe tomorrow", according to police in Kansas, U.S. He finally called in police and medics who found her …

Sick and tired of all those cd collections, for girls night in, chill out to, drive to etc etc I believe as a motivational tool, the Police should have a cd of 'Music to do a blue light run to' So come on, what would be your favourite track to do a 999 shout to? My favourite is Richard III, by supergrass

"Daily Wail" Thursday 13 March 2008 Since the reign of Elizabeth I, meetings of the town council have started with a prayer But the tradition that has endured though civil war, the industrial revolution and two world wars may yet succumb to the march of political correctness. Town councillors in Bideford, North Devon, have been told that their prayers could fall foul of the Race Relations Act. They have also been warned that they might attract an action under the Human Rights Act. Many councillors are outraged by the advice from the National Association of Local Councils and claim it is yet another attempt to remove Christian traditions from publi…

Have you seen the parking wardens in Glasgow, i'm sure they want to look like the old bill. It's getting mental! It started with the stab proof vests, now theyve got the PA on their backs, the black uniform, with black polo shirt under it.. The guys that drive around in the mopeds have their rides, all stickerd up like the traffics. Hehe, pretty fun.

With the Gold Cup exactly one week away, who's your money on? The two main favourites being Denman & last years winner, Kauto Star. My money's on Denman. Better jumper, never falls, & has the stamina to make it up the hill to the long run in Kauto Star, although brilliant is far less consistent & although he won it last year, with Denman in the running I'm seriously doubting whether he'll win again this year. Oooooh I'm so excited!!!!
