Hazel Blears has had a lap top stolen from her Salford constituency office , which contained amongst other data , info relating to defence and extremism !!! It's already been acknowledged that she has broken the ministerial rules on the handling on sensitive information !!! Given the recent balls ups relating to sensitive and restricted documents being found on trains, and previous data lost , it HAS to be time for this woman to say goodbye and return to the backbenches doesn't it ??? exmetskipper2008-06-17 21:35:53

Another thread on here has sought your views on Capital Punishment…. Well whatever the views, it ain’t gonna happen. And if it did somehow get voted in, nobody would EVER actually make it to 'Death Row' and swing for their crime anyway…. Too many bleedin’ heart liberals round here BUT….. what if prisons became just bit more severe? A bit more of deterrent to repeat offenders? A bit less of the Hi-Di-Hi holiday camp feel we on the outside perceive them as… A bit more of a US flavour to these ‘correctional institutions’. The sort of places that would put the fear of God into these low-life yoofs who have an annoying habit of grinning away in Court w…

I've just heard that Nu Labor are doing it again. Health Secretary Johnson is planning a "COMPASSION INDEX" for nurses, yes thats right a league table for nurses. How will it work you ask....well it will rate nurses smiles and compassion towards patients. I'm sorry to rant again but is this really how Great Britain is. I'm a copper and my wife is a nurse, and yes today we are both disillusioned with our careers, the sad thing is we both think we are in the best jobs in the world but Nu Labor are spoiling it beyond measure. Simply make us happy in our day to day work ie get rid of performance targets and we will smile more anyway Cut red tape, huh make m…

I wonder if it was just done for some publicity and he took it out afterwards, and just put 50p in.

CHESTERFIELD, England, June 14 (UPI) -- A farmer in England says he was given a ticket for his vintage tractor being parked in London, but the machine hasn't left his barn in 14 years. Farmer Eric Smart of Chesterfield said it's the second time in 18 months he's been fined for his tractor and believes its licence plate has been copied, the Daily Mail reported Saturday. Smart, 74, said he was last in London 45 years ago, and his Massey Ferguson tractor has not left his property in many years. Transport for London said the penalty for the alleged offense has risen to $351 because the citation was not paid on time. Last year, Smart said he was told he owed $195 for unl…

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7452033.stm If the drivers accept the latest offer they will be on £41,000 a year, for JUST driving a lorry, which almost anyone could do. A SENIOR CONSTABLE gets nowhere near that. Pleased to see they have the priorities in the right order, but then being a lorry driver takes lots of brains, 24 hour shift cover, aggro from yobs etc etc, rest days cancelled with no compensation, can't always have your annual leave when you want it, yes it must be soul destroying with all that going on while driving your lorry.(sorry just piss taking).

My mobile phone contract is due for renewal on the 2 July and I am thinking of going for a phone that has good internet access. I am currently on T-Mobile on a Flext package paying £20 a month. So can anyone recommend the following: 1. What network/package is best for internet with a rough value of £20 a month? 2. What is the best phone for use with the internet & a good camera would be a bonus too? Thanks in advance.
