Defense Attorney: Will you please state your age? Little Old Lady: I am 86 years old. Defense Attorney: Will you tell us, in your own words, what happened the night of April 1st? Little Old Lady: There I was, sitting there in my swing on my front porch on a warm spring evening, when a young man comes creeping up on the porch and sat down beside me. Defense Attorney: Did you know him? Little Old Lady: No, but he sure was friendly. Defense Attorney: What happened after he sat down? Little Old Lady: He started to rub my thigh. Defense Attorney: Did you stop him? Little Old Lady: No, I didn't stop him. Defense Att…

Social services have removed two young children from the care of their grandparents and arranged for them to be adopted by a homosexual couple. The five-year-old boy and his four-year-old sister were being looked after by their grandparents because their mother, a recovering drug addict, was not considered capable. But social workers stepped in after allegedly deciding that the couple, who are aged 59 and 46, were "too old" to look after the children. They were allegedly stripped of their carer's rights and informed they would be barred from seeing the children altogether unless they agreed to the same-sex adoption. The distraught grandfather said: "It breaks …

Is it only me that sees Prince Harrys "racist comment" as a non story ?? The word paki is a slang term for a Pakistani just as a Brit /pommie/limey/Les rostbif is to other foreign nationals describing us. I think it is a question of how sensitive you are to those terms after all at least the word paki describes an abbreviation of their origin unlike many of the words used to describe us (see above) and I personally dont find those terms offensive . As for the term 'ragheads' to describe the Taliban , enemies have always been known to make up derogatory names for each other e.g We called the Germans 'gerries/krauts and they called us 'Tommies'. Imo There is no …

I've put this in Police Discussion, not because of the content particularly, but because over my time as a member on here I have seen a lot of sneering over fat police officers, not least, some vitriolic comments about someone who won conmpensation after being bullied by colleagues. Obesity may be largely genetic So when you see a colleague who is gaining weight, please bear in mind that they may be having a much harder time than you in fighting obesity, and and those who do, please stop sneering about fat slobs. The report also emphasises the importance of execise, which raises that question about whether police stations shouls have gyms avcailable f…

I'm glad to say that Thailand seems to be stamping down on sex tourism. I dare say Praill thought he was safe to exploit children abroad. I'm glad to say he wasn't. He says he's unlikely to last a year in prison. Oh dear, what a pity, never mind. He should have gone down a long time ago.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2145600.ece AN off-duty cop was stunned when a Tesco store stopped him buying a bottle of wine — because of an under-21s binge drinking campaign. I knew Police were getting younger, it is not me getting older. And whilst i`m on quirkies....... http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/265123 I would rather not go by plane, then drink urine. would the same go for EXtruckers or indeed HATO?

I've just seen Valkyrie and I've gotta say, it was fantastic. It's a film that focus on the failed attempt to kill Hitler in July 1944. I won't say much more, but my god, that's the best £5.00 I've spent in a long time!

Last week, the father of one of my daughter's schoolfriends phoned me unexpectedly. I already knew that he is stinking rich - he owns a light engineering factory, a haulage firm with a fleet of trucks and several farms to my knowledge. He told me he urgently needed a component for a piece of machinery in his factory and hadn't been able to get hold of one. Because of this, his factory was not operating at full capacity. After checking out lots of places, he had finally tracked down a supplier in Sweden who did stock this item. He had tried to phone this supplier but the person on the other end of the line spoke very little English and he had got nowhere. His daughter s…

I found this rather amusing! Tickled my sense of humour as it sort of echoes our problems at times - wel most of the time! Australian letter of the year This is (supposedly) an actual letter sent to the DFAT Minster, The Hon Alexander Downer and the Immigration Minister, The Hon Minister Amanda Vanstone. The Government tried in desperation to censure the author, but got nowhere because every legal person who read it laughed! Dear Mr. Minister, I'm in the process of renewing my passport, and still cannot believe this. How is it that K-Mart has my address and telephone number, and knows that I bou…
