I have just come across a couple of quotes by Thomas Jefferson ...... How true they seem to be in todays dictatorial state ........ "A government big enough to give you everything you want,is big enough to take everything you have away. " And my favourite ...... " When the people fear their Government, there is tyranny. When the Government fears the people, there is liberty " Gordon Brown , take notice !!!!!!!!exmetskipper2009-03-31 08:58:04

I am certain we have enough imagination to dream up some scenarios in the Policing world, that you will not find in Scenarios city. Strange scenarios, very odd ones, ones that would make any Officer blink. So i try this one. You, as an Officer pull over someone who has no insurance, your ANPR tells you so. Whilst questioning him, your partner finds a large amount of class A drugs in his vehicle. Now we have to back a few minutes, just before he was pulled over, he spots the Officer in the vehicle behind, and recognizes him from a TV program, like Road wars, he makes a quick phone call to the DVLA, and put the vehicle in this Officers name. Back to the present. He is …

Anyone out there do Law at University? If so, what level did you do it to, what University did you do it at and what would you rate the University out of 10? I'm interested to know as I need to have my UCAS form in by September and seeing as I've got my AS levels in a few months time I don't think I've left myself with enough time to do proper research, plus it'd be nice to know from people who already have law degrees how they found the degree and the University they studied at.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1162503/The-real-telly-tubbies-X-Factor-failures-83-stone-family-claim-simply-fat-work.html No wonder the UK is in the state it is, paying these fat, idle slobs, £22,000 a year to sit at home and get even fatter. They should be given 6 months to lose weight or the money is stopped.

'The Christian owners of a seaside hotel may be prosecuted after refusing to allow a gay couple to stay in a double room. Peter and Hazelmary Bull are facing an unprecedented court case under controversial new equality laws. Martyn Hall, who lives with his civil partner Steven Preddy, has lodged a county court claim for up to £5,000 in damages alleging 'direct discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation'. But the Bulls deny the charge, saying they have a long-standing policy of banning all unmarried couples, both heterosexual and gay, from sharing a bed at the Chymorvah Private Hotel in Marazion near Penzance in Cornwall. Mrs Bull, a 62-year-old great-gra…

Does anyone ever buy self-published books? For those of you who don't know anything about the publishing industry, it's divided into several sorts of publisher. Mainstream publishing is where the publisher buys the Rights to publish your book for you, giving you an advance based on their predicted sales. Forget massive advances, many advances are now of the £300-£500 mark. BUT and it's a big but, they do promote your work with the bookshops etc. Think of the stranglehold supermarkets have on retailing, and it's a similar story re publishing and bookshops. But there's the kudos, a decent editor, decent covers, and it's the only way for a real writer to be pub…
