One of Britain's richest men has been questioned by police over claims he broke into a wealthy neighbour's house and blasted the burglar alarm with a shotgun because it kept ringing. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12...l#ixzz0dmGIibDs Maybe instead of doing what you did, you can afford to buy neighbour a new alarm system.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1245930/Kay-Gilderdale-Devoted-mother-helped-kill-bed-ridden-ME-daughter-cleared-attempted-murder.html I was always under the impression that the trial Judge had the power to dismiss a case without having to refer to the CPS, or even the DPP, I thought that the Judges were totally independent. Its pretty obvious from the trial judges comments what his thoughts were of the CPS descision to go ahead with the more serious charge.

Good morning All I wonder if anyone can assist me with a website or contact to help me with the following. The grandfather of a friend here in SA was a PC in Greenwich, SE London (I don't know if that would be the former M Division?) at the turn of the 19th / 20th centuries. he would like to find out more about his grandfather and asked if there are any websites that might assist him. Knowing the abundance of knowledge here, i though I would seek any ideas from Forum members first before I try doing any research of my own. Hope i am not contravening any of the rules - if so, I feel duly chastised. Thanks

Good evening all. I seem to have been unintentially absent without order of leave from here for a while now. I will obviously be trawling through the threads but thought it'd be nice to get a little update from everyone. So.... what has been the most interesting/thought provoking/painful/annoying/funny/cringeworthy thing to happen to you in the last few weeks? I am waiting on a decision of where I am going to be posted as a section officer so I have spent most of my last week being sweet/lovely/chatting up the gals in HR (technique is adaptable). Over...

I saw this on a comment on 200 Weeks' blog It's a comment from someone who goes by the name of Bender the Robot. I don't know who he or she is, or whether this article has been copied from somewhere else, but credit where it is due for bringing it to the attention of bloggers. I thought people on here might like to know what constitutes "trolling" and why we moderators work hard to eradicate it. We're still working on Dreddy, but he's very resilient Anyway - the link to the comment is here. If for some reason it gets deleted, the next post in this thread will save you a click!

Burj Dubai - World Tallest Building 2010 set World Record The tallest skyscraper has been built by Dubai. Today, on Monday, Dubai is going to inaugurate the largest and tallest skyscraper of the world with hope that it will help Dubai to make an end of the present recession that hit UAE badly and especially Dubai. Burj Dubai, 160 story-building, took $1.5 billion Dollars to build i.e. approximately $9 million per floor. The exact height of the skyscraper was not released by the builders because it was scheduled to be announced today at the time of inauguration. Emaar Properties, the builder, says that the spire is 800 yards tall. Officially, the tallest skyscraper wil…

I have just got over a nasty illness, temperature, aches pains, and all other manor of stuff that only goes to annoy, and it does not take much when in those conditions, to annoy. The slightest sound was pissing me off. Anyway, i tried, Nurofen, Tyrozets, Beechams all in one, and Gaviscon, i assure you, none of it seemed to worked. Two days of misery, that could have been washed away in one day, if only i had known your remedies to this pain.

http://www.fightbaddriving.co.uk/main/ Well it seems since the Fight Bad Driving has hit the media, people have been jumping to the wrong conclusions about the aim of the site. I suppose the name of the site doesn’t help (although the logo does portray all road users) but it was the only one available at the time! Not entirely certain as to why this bloke is being threatened. Good site thou.
