Protesters plan to build a "fortress" occupied by "ordinary people" on land earmarked for the construction of Heathrow's third runway. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8485765.stm Clearly some people have never heard of planning permission. If i cant get an extension they cant get a defence fortress. Good luck to all who end up going to this one

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1246451/Boris-Johnson-hands-police-supervision-role-year-ousting-Sir-Ian-Blair-Met.html I am pleased that Boris Johnson has stepped down after his interference in Ian Blairs sacking, which was a disgrace. Whatever people thought of Sir Ian Blair it was not Boris Johnson job to sack Blair, but the Home Secretarys. I am still of the opinion that Blair was one of the weakest, and political Commissioners the Met ever had, but there are proper ways of doing things, and Boris Johnsons was not the correct way.
