http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/politics/10590102.stm What a big hypocrite is Fat John Prescott. The ex wine waiter who spent years in the Cabinet, and actually did nothing worthwhile, except sh$g his PA over his desk. Pauline Prescott is a devout snob so she will be in her element. I think this proves that you don't need any brains or integrity to get in the Lords. To think that the Greasy Prescott will be entitled to £300 a day in expences everytime he visits the Lords, money for' old rope' because he will not add anything to its validity.

For all you young coppers, older coppers, and retired old guys! Just before retiring, some young puppy was busting my shoes about how law enforcement has changed, and the system is improving for the best. I just smiled and gave him a little laugh. He asked what was so funny. I told him that I felt sorry for him. When asked why, I told him, "Because in about 15 years, THIS is going to be your good old days". We all saw the change in our jobs. I came on in 1968. I used to tell the rookies that our academy lasted 3 months. They gave us a stick, a gun, a dime, and kicked us out into the street. They told us: If you need help, use the dime. If you can't get to a phone, use t…

The legal minimum age for a person to be given a shotgun licence is...............10. There's more. An individual from the Gun Control Network was quoted as saying this..... " "We oppose the idea of anyone under the age of 18 being given a firearm or shotgun.............If people are familiar with guns they are far more likely to use them." No sh*t Sherlock.............you mean "when they are more likely to enjoy shooting as a sport..............". FFS.

This incident makes it look as if there is one law for the public, and a different one for the police. It was very generous of the Supt to make a contribution towards the Vets bill. She should have been made to pay the lot.Maverick222010-07-12 10:37:02

Writers agree on 'Alan Partridge' movie plot Friday, July 9 2010, 11:17 BST By Simon Reynolds, Movies Editor Armando Iannucci has revealed that the writers of the Alan Partridge film have decided on a storyline. Iannucci, who co-writes the character with Steve Coogan, Peter Baynham and Patrick Marber, posted an update on the project on his Twitter account yesterday. "And the Partridge news is that we've now agreed a story for the film. It's NOT Alan goes to America," he wrote. Partridge star Coogan last year said that the big screen spinoff would take his hapless chatshow host character to the US. The character first appeared on the Radio 4 show On The Hour in 19…
