http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1296768/Crook-frogmarched-police-station-THIEF-sign-neck-sues-employer-90-000-humiliated.html It's a pity they don't hang a few more signs on thieves, yobs and assault merchants, humiliate them a bit more. I don't have any sympathy for Gilbert, I just hope he loses his claim. What a wimp, couldn't work for two years because he was so upset. More like nobody would employ the thief.

Council avoiding responsibility for Subsidence caused by their tree - please help A small extenstion to the front of my house has been affected by subsidence caused by some very large trees on council land (luckily the main house isn't affected). They are about 6m away and whilst they were large when we moved in 3yrs ago, the surveys showed no problems and its only the last 10-12 months we have had the problems. My insurer commissioned specialist surveys and monitoring and confirmed (indepedantly) their trees are at fault and will need removing, which so far the council have agreed to do 'without predjudice' - i.e. not admitting anything. Although they agreed to …

"Police investigating corruption allegations have seized items of correspondence between a billionaire international Mr Fixit and Lord Mandelson. Computers containing emails between Victor Dahdaleh and the former Business Secretary were also seized". Oh Wow.............. Good Grief... No!!! Around 1am on Thursday morning, my wife and I rolled into our driveway after driving home from Gothenburg. As she did so, we spotted the outline of a medium-to-large sized dog striding across the garden towards our garage and then towards our guest house beside it. This was very odd because (1) there are very few stray dogs in Sweden - they are all micro-chipped and registered at 8-weeks and (2) we live in a rural area and people just don't allow their dogs to wander about. My wife was driving and so she said she would put the car in the garage while I decided to coax the dog towards me so that I could get a better look at it and maybe either recognise it as belonging to …

Due to the heat, I am inside which is much cooler, mad dogs and Englishmen etc. I have just caught the end of the local news followed by the national weather report (BBC) Before the weather was reported a heatwave banner was placed over the screen (similar to the severe weather warning when it was snowing) Then another banner followed it with NHS Direct and their number, whilst the fella reporting the weather stated... If anyone has any concerns with their health during the hot weather contact NHS Direct. Please! What on this earth is that all about?
