Possibly the funniest story in a long while, this is a bricklayer's accident report, which was printed in the newsletter of the Australian equivalent of the Workers' Compensation Board. This is a true story....... "Dear Sir I am writing in response to your request for additional information in Block 3 of the Accident Report Form. I put 'poor planning' as the cause of my accident. You asked for a fuller explanation and I trust the following details will be sufficient. I am a bricklayer by trade. On the day of the accident, I was working alone on the roof of a new six storey building. When I completed my work, I found that I had some bricks left over which, when…

Just discovered this and thought I would share it with everyone. You can vote here - next.co.uk/model-competition-2011 Roland Bunce is topping the Next top model online competition and is on track to win £2,000 of vouchers as well as a modelling contract. Despite the fact that chubby Bunce is not standard model material, he is currently in number one position in high-street shop Next’s model competition. It’s doubtful whether ‘Roland Bunce’ is the man’s real name, but on Next’s website he lists himself as 24 and from Northern Ireland. Bunce apparently entered himself into the model competition and his picture smiles triumphantly amid the usual lin…

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/local/east-hampshire/the_yanks_are_coming_1_2710385 Portsmouth is bracing itself for the arrival of up to 6,000 American sailors as the world’s newest and most powerful warship anchors in the Solent. USS George H W Bush will drop anchor in Stokes Bay, Gosport, on Friday after taking part in the biggest training exercise hosted by the Royal Navy in recent years. The 1,100ft supercarrier – with a ship’s company of more than 5,300 – will be joined by American destroyer USS Truxtun and the Spanish frigate ESPS Almirante Juan De Borbon – meaning almost 6,000 sailors and airmen will descend on the city until Tuesday. I have always wondered this, and recently, my family keep asking me as if I know, so i'm sure you guys would know the answer. One example was Operation Nimrod which I saw on Britains Toughest Cops were they gathered intel on cocaine dealers and raided their houses. Now typically they use the 'Enforcer' or as its also known as 'The Big Red Key' and they biasically give it a few whacks and down goes the door. Now my question is: Who pays for fixing the door? Does it go to the force expenses or does the offender in the house pay for it out of their own pocket? Also sometimes intel can go wrong and you can smash open the wrong door, who pays for it then? Thanks guys

Scenario is; Jack has an issue with John who he knows is on the International Space Station, and John is due to do some Extra Vehicular Activity so will be in free space and outside of the jurisdiction of the ISS. Jack knows his window of opportunity and builds his own space rocket and flies up to the ISS and using a remote grab he pulls the air hose out of John's space suit and watches John die a horrible death. Jack then returns to earth in his home made re-entry capsule. So, can Jack be convicted of the murder and if so who has the jurisdiction to try him?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/13588664.stm Lewis Hamilton moaning and bitching about the race stewards, after the race today. Apparently he's seen them 5 out of the last 6 races. And then, apparently in jest, says that it could be something to do with the colour of his skin. Now, in much the same way as you don't mention bombs when boarding a flight anywhere, I don't think that anybody should suggest, even in apparent jest, that another group of people is racist. That is just wrong and does nothing for the real victims of racially motivated incidents. Maybe the stewards need to speak to him because he doesn't like following the rules. And maybe, j…

How comes, during live television programs, just before the break there is a black and white flashing thing in the corner? I get that it tells you a break is coming up, but why? why do we need to know this only on a live shows? Cheers

I picked this up from Twitter. Posted by ChiefSuperMatt of Hants Pol. Light hearted banter regarding the cuddly tiger toy alert last week.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-13599624 One might ask, why only 12 months, it appears if you are a Labour MP you get a longer term than Conservatives. In some ways his deceit was worse than Devine and Traytor. His Barrister said that Taylor was a role model for young black men, a bit of a misnomer, I would have thought he was exactly the opposite.Maverick222011-05-31 13:15:57
