When i was a very young child, my mother had a little trick she used to do. She sewed two buttons onto an old football sock which she kept under her pillow and, when I woke her up in the morning, she would slide her hand into the sock and produce it as a puppet snake, which she used to tickle me. It was great fun and I resolved to do the same when I had my own children. When my eldest daughter was aged about three or four, I found an old hiking sock, sewed on two buttons (eyes) and voila - Barry the Snake! I kept him under my pillow and kidded her on that she mustn't tell mummy because she would be cross to think there was a snake in the house. My daughter thought it wa…

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/9039235/Ernie-Gregory.html West Ham came to my school in 1956/57 and played against out 1st Eleven. Gregory was the goalkeeper, he was a very big man for a goalie, around 15/16 stone, and was not prone to diving, he used to say he had a good eye for angles and managed to get in the right position to catch the ball, whilst upright, without having to dive all over the place. He didn't have much to do in the first half, but we swapped some players second half and he had a few balls to handle. I played centre-forward and was pleased I never came into contact with him, or it would have been 'hospital here I come'. Still lookin…

This idiot on the left has just given a contract worth £425million, to build re-fuelling tankers for the Royal Navy, to South Korean firm, Daewoo, and a 2billion pound contract to a German company, to build railway carriages for our railways. I was under the impression that there was high unemployment in the UK, but obviously not if he is sending jobs to Korea and Germany. France and Italy have just announced they wish to buy 21 Frigates for the French and Italian Navies, guess who the contract went to, firms in France and Germany. I sometimes get the impression that Cabledoesn't like the UK and is trying to run our industries into the ground.

Hey everyone, My family and I have just finished renovating a 60 year old greenhouse in our garden and are planning on growing all sorts of fruit/veg in it and we'll most likely grow more than we need as it's a big greenhouse. Do you need any documents/licences to sell anything at your house? It sounds a daft question to me, but we all know how this country is getting. Many thanks, ITaylor
