Anybody here have a dabble on the stock market? Would be interesting to hear what stocks people are in and share any tips and experiences! I've been 'playing' the markets for about a year or so now, built up a small portfolio and I expect like most peoples it's a mixed bag with some success stories and some disappointments!

I have something good on the job front which makes a nice change after the hundreds I've applied for. The one that I have something about today is for what used be called a Lollypop man, and not anything Formula 1 related sadly. Everyone knows what a Lollypop (insert gender/word person here) is. So why on the application form was it called a "School Crossing Guard Patrol Officer". Any other examples people can think of this obtusification?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/afghanistan/9128782/Afghanistan-deaths-David-Cameron-marks-desperately-sad-day-for-Britain.html another tragic day for the British Army. So much for that idiot John Reid who said that we would be in and out of Afghanistan in three weeks with no shots being fired. Eleven years later we are still there, we will never win, the Ruskies tried for 30 years and ended up leaving with 'their tails between their legs'. More crocodile tears from the politicians, with the usual crap about they are making Britain safe. I don't recall seeing many Taliban on the streets of the UK. We should not be in Afghanistan, and are only there b…
