Hey everyone, I just wanted to ask a very cheeky favour. I'm in a competition to win a car. However I am lagging a bit behind in second place for votes, and just wondered if any of you guys would be able to help me out a little? I was given £5000 to spend in one day, but couldn't keep any of it. I spent it on some ice hockey lessons, learning to cook a curry, I bought a bootfull of toys and took them to the local kids hospital, gave away a whole load of posh chocolate and managed to give a passing street cleaner a holiday to Thailand! It only takes a few seconds, doesn't require any details, and best of all - you would enter the competition to win £5000 to spend on y…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzAxPJd0eMk http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-22339001 A video of an unfortunate woman trying to park her car in a Belfast street has become an internet sensation. It shows a female driver taking about 30 minutes and several attempts to reverse her car into a space between two vehicles on Fitzroy Avenue in the Holyland area of south Belfast. The 30 minute attempt at parking was filmed by a group of students living in the street, and has been viewed more than 700,000 times online.

We’ve all been there: You’ve found the perfect spot to enjoy dinner with a friend and you’re not going to let anyone get in the way – even if you’re in the middle of a road. This couple certainly didn’t seem to mind the fact that they were annoying motorists and even the driver of a double decker bus during their unusual dinner date. The pair set up a table and children’s chairs in the road in Thornton Heath, south London – and even got angry at the drivers they were holding up. The man in the video hit back at furious motorists who demanded they take their al fresco dining experience elsewhere. Ignoring the peeping car horns around him, he shouts in a foul-mouthed ti…

Is it me or do you now need a Phd in Computing to get a computer to do anything? I'm pulling my hair out trying to get an answer so hopefully you can help: My daughter has saved an Excel spreadsheet for her homework. I have tried to print it for her but all it does it print the background colours with all text blank as well as the borders on the boxes. I have tried to copy/paste to word to no avail. I have read the help menus for both Excel and the printer on-line. Both keep on about checking print preview. For the life of me I cannot find it,I believe it is now "Background" which shows the file complete with titles, borders and text ready to print. Now, I am n…

The police have always had their own language. But their often-mocked manner of speaking to the public displays a streak of comic genius, says Charles Nevin. As we tweet, text, abbreviate and generally truncate our way through this frantic life, it's good to know that there is at least one small area of public discourse where a relish for orotundity and a delight in stately sarcasm still flourish. I refer, of course, to those upstanding upholders of order, our police. Others have noted the increased number of open-collared black shirts, the fleeces, the high-visibility jackets, the retreat of the helmet in favour of caps and the growing amounts of paramilitary paraphern…

This is an interesting story. None of what Theo did was or indeed is difficult and more importantly, you may think the kid a gullible (and perhaps he is) but I think a lot of people would fall for it.

This topic is very popular on another of our forums. Now we all know that some quotes can raise a few eyebrows when taken completely out of context. Here's one to give you an idea of what I mean.
