Being a newby as a member on this site I hope I've posted in the correct forum!! I have 27 years in the job and the majority in CID and remember when each station had its own bar, canteen and gym(happy days). They are now long gone in my force and most other forces, so it really makes my blood boil to hear that those idiots at Westminster who call themselves MP,s have just had their gym totally revamped at the expense of the taxpayer, £250,000 it cost WOW . Not only that there are at least 2 bars and 2 restaurants that are heavily subsidised by the taxpayer and meals that would cost £100 in public restaurants cost a fraction of the price. Which other public sector wor…

Is it me in my old age?? That there are more and more 'Walts' appearing on the radar. I have read about Ambulance walts, Fire Walts Police walts and of course the Army walt. UI never new the SAS had so many men last count there was 64000 on the balcony that day?? I see that someone even wore medals they were not entitled to on a parade in London, and somebody had the cheek to wear a green lid at a parade. What is this coming to, mind you with the rise of so called commemorative medals at the last count I could wear at least five from the collection, (please note I do not own any) and my father who served in the forces at least double that. Its time we exposed the Walt…

No doubt the Cabinet Sec doesn't want Blair to look a bigger Scumbag than he already is by being heavily criticised in the Chilcott Report. I'm not surprised Gollum Brown doesn't mind the details being released as it will no doubt castigate his old Chum Telfon Blair. Lets have it published, with all the facts, warts and all, so the general public can see exactly why we went into a war that was sod all to do with the…

http://www.westerndailypress.co.uk/VIDEO-Pub-Landlord-Al-Murray-takes-UKIP-s-Nigel/story-25855228-detail/story.html I don't suppose he could do any more damage to the country than Spiv Dave Cameron and his Cronies have done, I prefer him to that Russell Brand who strikes me as a complete berk. I hear Brands voice is about to break.

Firstly I'm sorry that I've posted a link to the DM. There is method in my madness. The reason is that in the comments section is quite a pithy comment...........it goes thus. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2917225/Is-alien-communication-Mystery-cosmic-burst-captured-LIVE-closer-understanding-meaning.html The basics of the story are that scientists have discovered a radio burst from somewhere in deep space, and there's a suggestion that it's...........................wait for it......................ALIENS!!!! The most-liked comment says "Let's hope it's not aliens because the UK will start sending them money." No other cou…

Shameless MPs standing down at the election are rinsing the taxpayer for brand new laptops and iPads on expenses before they leave parliament…and they DON’T have to give them back. Two weeks after Andrew Lansley announced he would quit the Commons he claimed £499 for a new iPad, but the rules mean he can keep it when he leaves in May. Eric Joyce confirmed he would quit when Labour told him he was “unfit to stand” back in 2012. Yet last June he claimed £1,777 for “replacement laptops” on expenses, which he is allowed to keep when he goes this year. Six months after Tim Yeo was booted out by his local Tories last February, he then charged the taxpayer £1,319 on expenses…
