I'm not one for National Days. National Teeth Day, National Spork Day, National Door-painting Day. They're all, generally, about companies making more money out of poor saps by making them feel guilty about something. However. One such day approaches..........a day that might well be worth taking notice of. November 17th IS.............National Who Cares Day. www.bitterwallet.com/its-official-bitterwallet-launches-national-who-cares-day/36432 If you don't care about Twits, Facebook junkies, or any other 'social sites' that allow vacuuous comments about what people are doing, have done and are about to do - no matter how pointless and 'normal' those activities are f…

During my uni project a created my own page for some work that I have done. Its still a new page so hasn't got much on it, but soon hopefully keep adding bits and bobs when I find my work . If you want to "like" my page to get the hits up that would be great. It will have mainly photography and Photoshop work but thinking of adding some stuff to do with film production, got couple projects coming up with friends which are parodies of music videos or films. Thanks! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Iamcemal/120709737988643

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/afghanistan/8095910/Linda-Norgroves-parents-speak-of-kidnap-nightmare.html It makes a change to listen to these two, who are not in the 'blame game', or we will sue you for as much as we can get. The US must be given some credit for telling the truth, as they could have easily covered the matter up by saying the terrorists killed her. Maverick222010-10-30 11:14:16

Hi I asked a friend of mine to pick me up these boots in the States as I wanted them so much, but she got me the wrong size! So I am offering them to one of you lucky people: http://www.batesfootwear.com/US/en-US/Product.mvc.aspx/8470M/0/Footwear/Mens/5-inch-Tactical-Sport-Boot?galleryId=G-F Anyone you ask about Bates boots will tell you how great they are. They are a US Mens Size 7.5, which is equivalent to a UK Size 7 or a European 40. Brand new and fully boxed. They are Mens boots strictly speaking but they would be fine for a woman. Straight up £50. If you want to collect them I am in London SW18, or can also meet you at Hendon. Alternatively it's an extra £5 t…

A conversation overheard at the battle of Trafalgar, however it could be any Civil Service department. Admiral Nelson: "Order the signal, Hardy." Captain Hardy: "Aye, aye sir." Nelson: "Hold on, that's not what I dictated to Flags. What's the meaning of this?" Hardy: "Sorry sir?" Nelson (reading aloud): "England expects every person to do his or her duty, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious persuasion or disability.' - What gobbledegook is this?" Hardy: "Admiralty policy, I'm afraid, sir. We're an equal Opportunities employer now. We had the devil's own job getting 'England' past the censors, lest it be considered racist." Nelson: "Gadzo…

Anyone else here in the Open Mic Competition? It's a lot like X factor but a little less comercialised. This is our performance (we're Geneology) which got us through to the area finals up north. After that, next stop is the London's O2. Any feedback? - bear in mind this is hip-hop/ rap/ street music so may contain some mild swear words. We write all our own lyrics and mix our own music. http://www.muzu.tv/openmic/geneaology-gangsters-paradise-mic-check-music-video/785647?country=gb Let usknow what you think! Be cruel, be kind but importantly, keep it real bru!!!

www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11657376 Basically 4 year-old kid cycles into 87 year old woman, she breaks her hip and dies 3 months later - as a result of her injuries. And the family of the 87 year old have been told they can sue the child, who is now 6. Sue her for what? Her 'My Little Pony'? This has happened in the US, I hasten to add. Still. It'll teach the 6 year old. Give her something to really think about......probably is an evil genius and she'll now be stopped in her tracks. I know that there is a lot of hurt when you lose a loved one..........but when you seek to redress that and aim your attention at a 6 year old, then I think you should, …

A colleague of mine recently attended an address for a noise complaint. All was not as it seemed when he arrived at the location, the noise complaint was not the usual ‘my neighbours are playing loud music’ the noise was coming from within the house. After speaking with the occupant and hearing the noise for himself, he decided to speak with both neighbours to make sure it wasn’t them. On speaking with the first neighbour he confirmed that he could hear the noises also and had nearly called the police to report the initial caller as he thought they were the source of the noise. My colleague checked the neighbours’ house for any signs of what could be causing the n…
