It's that time again this month when the MPC supposedly decide whether or not to raise interest rates, although this time round the decision seems to be whether to increase Q.E. I feel sorry for the members of the public, and shopkeepers who,as the news says are feeling the pinch. Feeling the pinch? I would say it's a bit more than that. The public for example have got to absorb increases from all directions, while at the same time, being asked/told that they are not to have any pay increases. How on earth can people be expected to bear that the brunt of all that is happening. Speaking from a personal point of view, and i'm sure it may apply to many others, I am in the fortun…

Just noticed on the BT homepage a news story about Islamic extremists burning the US flag outside the US embassy in London. It features a photo of some armed police officers outside St Paul's Catherdral wearing blue berets. I know armed officers in the Met used to wear blue berets... but I didn't think they still did. Is this an old photo or are these guys with MOD police or something? http://uk.news.yahoo.com/photos/armed-police-stand-guard-outside-st-pauls-catherdral-photo-132118610.html;_ylt=AkZLXKqc_y1Ii19al5EI3YAMfcl_;_ylu=X3oDMTQzMmZrMWVuBG1pdANBcnRpY2xlIFJlbGF0ZWQEcGtnA2YwOGZmNjBmLTM3ZDAtMzRkNi1iMWM0LTQwMmYyMDQwNWJiYQRwb3MDMQRzZWMDTWVkaWFBcnRpY2xlUmVsYXRlZAR2ZXID…

Hey! I was wondering if you guys/gals would be able to help me. I do a show for the local radio station and im in the process of putting together an "Emergency Services" themed show. I want all the songs to have some kind of connection to the emergency services. Ive got a fair few songs already, but the more the merrier would be better. All I ask is that the songs are "happy" songs. No slow, depressing songs. This is what I have so far: Dr Beat - Miami sound machine Fire Brigade - The Move Dr Jones - Aqua I shot the sherriff - Inncer Circle I fought the law - The Clash Fire burning - Sean Kingston Great balls of fire - Jerry Lee Lewis Saturday nights alright for…

Scenario: After a big drug bust at a local drug den, the clean-up is massive. Cannabis plants, liquid heroin and cocaine are amidst the mess. As you sweep the area looking for more contraband, you notice one of the officers sneaking abit of the evidence in their pocket. What are the steps that you would take? Could you arrest the officer in question there and then for possession of drugs?

Cheetah was saying he likes logical puzzles so...here we go a nice easy one for you all Use [ spoiler] "insert answer here" [/spoiler ] without spaces to hide the answers A man has a wolf, a goat, and a cabbage. He must cross a river with the two animals and the cabbage. There is a small rowing-boat, in which he can take only one thing with him at a time. If, however, the wolf and the goat are left alone, the wolf will eat the goat. If the goat and the cabbage are left alone, the goat will eat the cabbage. How can the man get across the river with the two animals and the cabbage? First, the man takes the goat across, leaving the wolf with the cabbage. Then he goe…

Do other products 'Just not taste the same as they used to'? Does the taste change because company's muck around with the recipes, or is it just that our tastes change as we get older??

I have just read that 'Lord' Taylor and 'Lord' Hannington who were imprisoned recently for false accounting or whatever, have just been released from prison after having served only about a quarter of their sentence. Firstly, why release them early even if they may be tagged, and secondly, which I may have mentioned before, why the hell are these people still being referred to as 'Lord' they certainly don't deserve it in my opinion, but perhaps that's just me.

Top prizes up for grabs for those who correctly guess who the next head of the MPS will be... With the hunt now on to find a new Met Commissioner as the Force faces a period of unprecedented challenge, there has been significant interest in the likely contenders. The post has been widely advertised and, as the August 12 deadline for applications looms closer, speculation is mounting at who has thrown their hat into the ring. While the Home Office is keeping a tight-lipped silence on who has applied, current odds from bookies William Hill place ACPO President Sir Hugh Orde as favourite – running just ahead of TVP Chief Sara Thornton. A clutch of other senior officers…

So any cringeworthy stories from any nights out ? I personally think alcohol should be banned merely because of my lack of self control! I'll drink once every three months ? and ill wake up... thinking 'oh no what did i do' and end up in hiding for a few days! I seem to shamelessly ditch my pals when legess (silly i know, because i rely on them getting me home) and begin wandering the streets around the pubs on a pointless mission for say half an hour only to meet up with them again and waste more cash... ive not got any real bad stories... but anyone else ????
