IF you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, ... But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you g…

6 little children who were murdered by their parents are having their funeral today in Derby followed by their burial. The authorities have refused permission for the parents to attend the funeral, good decision by the authorities on this occasion. Why the hell should those murderers be allowed to go,if they thought that much of those poor litte children then they shouldn't have killed them. When I see reports like that it makes me want to pick up my 2 little grandchildren and give them the biggest cuddle that I can find.

Working with young people is one of the most challenging and rewarding elements of role of the police. It is often seen as intimidating or specialist role, but a recently published book ‘Making it Spark’ by Kingsham Press endeavours to provide an insight into working with young people and hopes to dispel some myths. The book is the work of three authors, Craig Knight – a police inspector, Kate Start – dietician and management consultant and Glyn Willoughby – a former secondary school principal. The trio combine their experience and knowledge of facilitating projects with young people and ‘appreciative inquiry’ as they interview and speak with a wide range of individuals …

I remember my own youth (yes, I can remember that far back!) when I was 11ish onwards, I would ride around on my bike with a bucket and sponge and wash cars, I was a St. John Cadet and I also used to run errands, do gardening jobs etc. for the elderly in the neighbourhood. Did you do anything similar to 'earn a few bob' or help out in any way? You just don't see many youths of today doing anything like this do you? Do you think they have become lazy, or is it just a sign of the times?

We hear recently debates amongst our communities as to whether civil marriages should be performed between same-sex couples. There are also couples who have difficulty finding clergy to agree to a marriage service if one or both of them are divorcees. Despite the costs involved, we also hear that it is easier than ever to divorce these days. More couples than ever it seems are happy just to live together than to commit to marrying. However, there are many people who still think that marriage is very important, whatever background they are from, whether religious or not. Do you think the importance of marriage is being, or has been diminished?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2153559/Bloodshed-betrayal-The-futility-soldiers-deaths-Helmand-scandal-inadequate-equipment-revealed-book-MoD-tried-censor.html This book is well worth reading, I found it difficult to put down. It reveals how that Scumbag Blair, aided by Gollum Brown, and Hoon, refused to spend money on equipment for the men and women on the front line. Reid and his, ''we will be in and out inside three weeks without a shot being fired'', yes John, 12 years later we are still there, losing men every week. I can understand why the MOD didn't want the book published, it shows them in such a poor light, and some Military Top Brass who should ha…
