I'm stuck between which one to buy, not really helped by reading the Photoshop website either. I was going to go for Elements but Myky has recommended Lightroom. I've just started shooting in RAW (Nikon's NEF) so it needs to be compatible for processing and I'd like good skin softening / blemish removal tools for portrait work. Just looking for general opinions on both.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/journalists/gordon-rayner/9357225/Defence-Secretary-Philip-Hammond-accused-of-hypocrisy-over-Bomber-Command-Memorial.html I wonder what our old friend Charles(Ranroz) would have thought of this, I bet he would be fuming, he went to a lot of personal trouble to raise money towards the Memorial, with his Blue Bands, even though he was suffering from cancer, and he was still raising money weeks before he passed on to higher places. The MOD treat all the services like shite which we saw at the start of the Afghanistan War, lack of equipment, poor vehicles etc etc etc, and now altering pensions without consultation, while their Civil Servants get…

Folks It's been some time since we had a major advertising campaign here at UKPoliceOnline and I now open the doors to you our members to get creative and design us a poster to use at the various police stations up and down the United Kingdom, Wales and Scotland. The purpose of the poster is to raise awareness to our forum and hopefully encourage more people to join us in our quest to make this the No I Police related forum board out there on the Internet ! (I know we already are but you can never be too careful as our competitors are always nipping at our heels  ) So I put the challenge out to you to come up with some idea's and post your efforts here in thi…

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01jzqgy Episode 1 of 3 Duration: 59 minutes English common law, with its emphasis on the role of the jury, set a standard of fairness that has influenced legal systems across the world. Many of the features that characterise today's courts were in place by as early as the 14th century. How did England come to have such a distinctive and enduring system? Harry Potter traces English law back to the simple compensation culture of early Anglo-Saxon Kent. He explores the rise of trial by ordeal, where painful and dangerous physical tests were used to determine guilt or innocence. He shows how this system of religious 'proof' came to be repl…

I thought this would be a fun discussion but how prepared are you for World War Z? It was only a few weeks ago that a 'Zombie' like individual ate a mans face off, with the Movie 'World War Z' eagerly awaited and due in 2013 I have had the odd discussion on what we would actually do WHEN this happens. If we are talking traditional Patient Zero infected with some kind of virus bites another which then spreads the disease nationwide & globally extremely fast. If there was an outbreak where would most likely be at the time? I came to the conclusion you are probobly going to be at work. Your boss might try to eat you and getting out the car park in rush hour is bad eno…

Has anyone been watching this show? Basically Gordon Ramsay is teaching inmates to cook and hopefully setting it up as a business inside the prison. Here's the first episode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUf-V01jQm8 I think it's a great idea. Prison shouldn't just be about locking people in a cell all-day every-day. Giving the prisoners something to do, a task to focus them and give them skills that they can apply once they are released is something we ought to be putting more effort into.
