I thought as the thread about the latest NCA recruitment was closed that I would start another thread as many of us were discussing the recruitment process including tests and pending assessment day invitations to the lucky few that will be chosen. So who is still waiting to hear anything? Anyone still not completed the latest round of online tests? I have not had my rejection email or an invitation to any more tests. Well not yet anyway.

Does anyone know of any legislation that exists, which is not currently used, that would empower a body to start a Constablarly? I know of four, but I wondered if there were any more examples? - The London Gateway Port Harbour Empowerment Order 2008 (Port Police for London Gateway) - Wimbledon and Putney Commons Act 1871 (constables or bye laws) - Public Health Act 1907 (constables for bye laws) - Special Constables Act 1923 (appointment of constables for armament depots)

Dear all, Currently I am in the training process for the Met Police specials. I am interested in looking at the NCA for a possible future career, however there doesn't seem to be a great deal of information for what is needed and what the job will exactly entail. My questions are as follows. - Is previous police experience necessary if you want to join ? - What is the general consensus of opinion, for working with this organisation ? - What skills are they looking for, language etc ? - Will the entry level job position be Detective constable I assume, or are they taking a administrative business approach like Europol. Thanks for taking the time reading th…

I have just been reading the guidance relating to the Anti-Social, Crime and Behaviour Act 2014. The power to make Public Space Protection Orders specifically got my attention. In essence, I think that that Parks Police would have police powers to enforce them in relation to parks. To recap, London Boroughs can form their own parks constabularies, whereby the wording is as follows: "A local authority may procure officers appointed by them for securing the observance of the provisions of all enactments relating to open spaces under their control or management and of bye-laws and regulations made thereunder to be sworn in as a constable for that purpose". The confusion …
