Hi! I'm hoping to send my application off in the next few days and was just wondering if anyone knows where we could be stationed if we select the England box on the form? I'm local to both AWE Aldermaston and Burghfield and would like to know the likelihood of being stationed there? Also if any serving officers at either Aldermaston or Burghfield could give any ideas as to shift patterns, that would be a great help! Cheers

Is anyone else heading down to HQ for the assessment centre on the 29th April? Must say I'm looking forward to getting this over with. A while to go but the nerves are well and truly kicking in.

Alright everyone I had a look at the roster before and have some questions, what are ZD shifts as opposed to RD shifts? Also I saw some sections had shifts which wernt 2 earliest and 2 nights but saw some had 3 earlies and 2 nights or vice versa Cheers for the explanation

I've been thinking about this recently but what is the difference between them both? Is it as simple as RF is responsible for responding to building incidents/inside the complex and AF for the outer circle? Or is there a lot more to it than that? The only reason I ask is that's basically what I was told when I went down last month for fitness & medical but I wonder if there's a bit more to it and hoped one of you serving MDP officers could answer?

The new Civil Service Pension 'Alpha' goes live in 2 weeks. Here is a link to the full scheme: http://www.civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk . Still no news on MDP Enhanced Pension Age. But all indications are 65 not 60.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how many new recruits and NEOF'S are going to territorial stations (None AWE or Clyde)? I'm aware that there are at least going two Croughton and others going Alconbury. The reason I ask is because I feel like I've been massively done over by the MDP. I transferred into the force last year having served 13 years at West Midlands Police. I was on the second NEOF course and was shocked to find that I was the only one who had relocated down South to AWE (which has dramatically reduced our standard of living; financially and mentally). All the other officers had been given stations closer to their homes. This was apparently done on the ba…

Mmm looks a lot closer judging by what the CC/MDP has posted on the intranet re a joint review already completed and consultation with the DPF in MDP judging the merits..wonder if any of the CNC officers have heard anything from their end ?

Hi All, I see Wandsworth Events Police are the new Police team in Battersea Park, They used to be Parks Police until the Met took control some years back. Does anyone know what uniform they wear and are they still attested as Constables? Just an interest really! Cheers.

Asked loads of questions and I presume I'm annoying the hell out of some of you, that being said I'm interested in knowing what the training structure for MDP is like? I know it's 17 weeks residential at Wethersfeild but I wouldn't mind knowing the structure of it and how it goes. Anyone on here completed it recently/going through the training right now?

Hi, I've seen a lot of talk in this section about how AWE is short staffed on all shifts, however it appears that the MDP are only listing recruitment up in Scotland at the moment. Does anyone know what the deal is here? I'm only a 10 minute walk from AWE(A)'s main gate so obviously if I join, a posting there (or Burghfield) would be preferable!
