Hi I was wondering if anyone could help. Four years ago when I was 16 I was arrested for criminal damage, I wasn't charged and never had to attend court. I was literally only questioned then released as this was my first and only encounter with the police but I was told that if I re offended in the two years after then I would not be let off so lightly luckily I have never reoffended. My question is would a arrest cause reason for a rejection?

This is lifted from the MDP Federation site. As an officer about to transfer from HO to MDP in a few weeks I was wondering how people felt about it and what comments they had to make. PC:\F \Circulars\Circulars2009\Circular 11/09 – Executive summary - The future role of the MDP – 17.06.09 DEFENCE POLICE FEDERATION Established by Act of Parliament THE FUTURE ROLE OF THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE POLICE (Report by Mr Trevor Woolley) Executive Summary1 Introduction 1. In early 2009 I was invited by PUS to conduct a scoping analysis of the issues facing the MDP and to provide advice on how these issues might be addressed. I concluded that there should be a two-phase ap…

Hi all, sorry to be a pain but I am having a bit of difficulty in working out what to do with the Application Form in the "Competency assessment" area. The "MDP Application Form - Competency Assessment Hints & Tips" sheet states that you should fill in all questions (leaving any blank is an automatic failure). However the Guidance sheet (Note 10 at page 23 of the actual Application Form) states that you should leave Q1-4 blank if you hold GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths (with attached proof); but then goes on to say that all questions should be filled in. Q1-4 appear to me to be the most important part of the whole application form (in conjunction with Q…

Hi all, I'm just going through the application forms & the instructions are clear in that they must be filled out handwritten in black pen. However my "handwriting" is scrawl (at best) and even in its neatest form looks as though the spider was at least marching across the page! I usually use block capitals when filling forms out (with a slightly larger letter where a capital letter would normally occur). Would this be acceptable? Any thoughts welcomed. Thanks. Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me, I'm currently a serving special with norpol and I am trying to decide between going for the regulars or transferring my assessment centre score to the MOD police. Would any one be able to give me an idea of what you actually do in the MOD police day to day and how you are finding the job. would be really grateful for any help. if you'd rather not send it on the open forum please drop me a message.

We were on the last NEOF intake, we've only been at AWE a month or so but already, all (and I do mean All) of us are returning back to our old forces. Don't join this shambolic 'police force' it is a total joke, the managers are incompetent, AWE openly hates the mdp and wants rid of them. The PCs are resigning in scores and most are only here because they are stuck here. They are demoralised overworked and treated like total ***** by the management. Every day now there are new collective punishments. In all my time in policing I have never encountered such a mismanagd demoralised bunch, we even had a full mutiny last week when some idiot at HQ decided it would be a goo…

I did, turns out that there's a fair amount of pre-reading an e-learning to get through before we start!

Hi all, first time poster - be gentle! I have been working in a well paid job for 2 years since leaving the Royal Navy following 22 years service as a weapons engineer. I'm in receipt of a naval pension but I'm also married with two young boys and we're settled in the Portsmouth area. I am seriously thinking about organising my finances so that I can take a drastic pay cut in order to join the MoD Police, as this is something that I have wanted to do for a number of years. Also my current job doesn't give me everything I want in a career & the MoD Police should be able to fill the gaps and give me what I want. However I'd be looking to join the Marine Unit in Por…

hi all, as the title of my post suggests, I'm wondering if AWE Burghfield attracts the extra £2000pa living allowance that AWE Aldermaston does. I only ask as Aldermaston is the only station mentioned by name on the MDP website as benefiting from this. many thanks j :)
