No sure the reasoning behind it but the RMPs have had to remove the police sign of the light bar from their marked vehicles even though it has military police on the bonnet. Don't know if their are plans to replace them with Military Police?

Hi guys, just a thought. Ive heard dungeness power station will close in 2018. What will happen to the cnc officers there? Ive applied to be based at dungeness as a pc but if its getting knocked down in a few years would I have to be based elsewhere?

Hi All. Where do the MOD Police do their Firearms training? Also does anyone know how long the whole training process is for the MOD Police including the firearms? I see the CNC is 16 weeks 8 weeks law based and 8 weeks firearms! Cheers Muchly.

I begin training in a couple of weeks for the Immigration compliance and enforcement (ICE) RoleWithout divulging things you can't, can anyone offer some advice on what its like?, what I will learn, or if I can prepare so I pass all the exams. Thats for the 5 weeks I will be in Croydon (Apollo House). I have 3 days of induction and then an afternoon of presentations ahead of starting the 5 weeks training but I have not really been sent anything useful that can shed light on the course structure etc. I also have to do arrest training afterwards but less worried about that. Hello all. I'm fairly new to the site and have been hanging around in the background for a bit, reading through posts. I'm ex-West Mercia and having been out some years I wanted to go back in but not into a Home Office Force - I had enough of care home mispers, fighting with drunks in the early hours and all the paperwork. I've applied to join the MOD Police and have got my 2 day assessment in February. I know I'm getting ahead of myself but I was wondering, bearing in mind I would be likely to go to Aldermaston to begin with, how easy is it to find accomodation in the area and how soon would I need to get it sorted? Apologies if this has been covered before, but can anyone tell me if the Epping Forest Keepers are now known as a Constabulary? I have recently seen a badge depicting the COL crest with the wording " Epping Forest Constabulary" but I can find no amendments to their Keeper's status or an updated Wiki page. I have seen a copy of a proposal from the EF Superintendent asking for Keepers to be given full constabulary/constables powers and status, this was dated last November. Can anyone enlighten me? Also, what do their vehicles look like? Again, I can find no pictures. Any help clarifying this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So looking around this forum and getting conflicting answers can anyone clarify without a doubt this; Can a field and/or immigration officer with arrest powers (ICE More Specifically) also be a special constable? Some people are saying yes, but looking at force guidelines of many police forces its clear it's a prohibited occupation. I am most confused.

Seems that the Home Office Consider them to be a non-territorial Police force - a 2011 FOI request popped upon a Google search listing some agencies as police forces which don't seem to be covered by acts I can find the Joys of Insomnia eh Document.pdf
