After seeing the topic about the Burlington Arcade people and seeing something on Portland Harbour.....I just started to wonder which is actually the smallest UK based police force? Any ideas? and is it one that is "cerimonal" or is it one that has its staff sworn as SC's or is it one that employs PC's such as Dover?

I was looking at this photo and it's description sometime back. About 10 odd minutes ago I was chatting to a friend who is a member of RLC EOD. I showed him this photo and the reply was : " RLC EOD do not have any motorbike response capability. They have looked at having motorbikes for deploying equipment to scenes should an IED team request it. This concept has not been adopted. " Interesting comments from the horses mouth as to speak. OU02 FYK and OU02 KWA are a pair of bomb disposal Honda ST1100 Pan Europeans. They carry a simple colour scheme and do not have any writing or crests on them. This is to help stop the public panicking and to help avoid them becomin…

Hello all This is my first posting on this site and would like some helpful info from anyone who has transfered to CNC from a HO Force. I'm currently a Police Officer in Northumbria Police where I have been for eight years. Due to many reasons I have decided a change is in order and I'm interested in joining the CNC Police. I believe I know what the role as a CNC Officer consists of but I would like to ask a few more questions. 1. Due to transfering from another force will I be required to attend assessment centres and fitness tests? 2. Will I be required to complete the full basic training again? (Centrex???) 3. If successful would I start on my current pay level? …

Redbridge is the newest parks constabulary and is recruiting for CONSTABLES and SGTs. Although the pay isn't too hot.

I have no idea how to start polls so I will just ask a question and invite opinions. Considering the Service Police are a Law Enforcement agency and do come in to regular contact with the general public, should they also be investigated the same as Home Office Police Forces in regards to complaints etc? MOD Police/CNC /BTP are also looked at by the IPCC despite being non Home Office. The Service Police have been inspected (in part) by HMCI and begun to comply with ACPO and NPIA training so is it time to also adopt IPCC investigations. What do people think?

Hi all I've not been on here for a while but it's really great to see that peoples attitudes have changed towards parks police services :-) That can only be a good thing. I really like the support that our colleagues in Wandsworth are getting too.

I came across a reference to Greater Manchester Port Police on Police Oracle the other day. Obviously I suspect that they are long gone but does anyone know anything about this Force?
