So the title is self explanatory really. Im not a massive fan of waiting and I easily get anxious about this kinda thing! Anybody know roughly how long it takes to hear back? thanks in advance

In WYP, the default is that you are attached to NPT and are expected to work with NPT. Apart from RPU and OSU, there is no official way to be attached to response units and although some divisions allow officers to always go out with response, this isn't standard across WYP. I, like many, do work response all of the time and believe it benefits both me and the response teams much more than NPT, where I have often ended up waiting for hours for a PC to do a log that I can do little to help with. So what are peoples views on this? Should we be attached to response teams if we want to?

Hi All, I have my second OST next weekend and as part of that we will be exposed to CS spray. Whilst I understand the need for us to be exposed to it I am slightly apprehensive about it. Just wanting to hear about peoples experiences who have previously been exposed to it, either in a training environment or out on the streets. :new_thanks:

I was just thinking. Can you claim mileage and meal allowances during your initial training period, or is that cost on us until we get attested?

Wooooopwoooop found out yesterday I have passed all stages and start training in September, I have my seminar on the 20th august, also found out I have been given leeds district (first choice) and I also found out on the same day that me and my girlfriend are having a baby together!!!! What a day!!!!

Hi! I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place here but here goes... I had my assessment day yesterday and I 'THINK' it went ok. I did absolutely loads of preparation and managed to do a decent essay I think and a few good examples in my interview on the competencies. I'm kind of worried though, I did so much prep on interview examples I only ended up giving 1 or 2 examples on each because I just ran out of time going into detail! I had examples from work, uni and 2 volunteering jobs. The interviewer was so hard-faced I have absolutely no idea. Does anyone know when we find out? The guy yesterday said it was 2 weeks Friday but that seems AGES away! And he said it'…

I had my medical last Monday, 6th October. How long did people wait until offer of appointment?

Finally received the email saying id passed everything yesterday at my brothers wedding about 5 minutes before I made my best man speech! What a day. Just wondering whether anyone else will be there? (Apologies if ive missed started a duplicate thread) James.
